[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a 65 degree March day in Michigan and I just enjoyed my first outdoor ride in shorts this season! Over the past few weeks I've been putting in lots of long training hours for my pre-season cycling training and also trying to squeeze out a few last ski days. My new Hypervolt 3 Pro massage gun with its heated head attachment is one of my favorite recovery tools to help loosen tight muscles and boost my recovery so I can bounce right back and enjoy riding again tomorrow! My favorite areas to target after training on the bike are my calves, hamstrings, hips and glutes. The Hypervolt 3 also came with me on a recent 5-day ski trip and it got lots of use being passed around our house as we all took turns loosening up sore muscles. During the ski trip I particularly enjoyed using it early in the morning while I drank my coffee helping warm up my legs and loosen up the stiffness that had set in overnight as we prepared for our morning session on the mountain. I do also own the previous generation product, the Hypervolt Pro 2, and I also have the heated head attachment for that unit. At first I was a little skeptical that this new unit would really be all that much better, but when I titled this review "Better, faster, stronger, and more elegant" I meant it about this massage gun. I loved my Hypervolt 2 but somehow this one is just all around better, it seems to be noticeably quieter and smoother running which is nice to not annoy my family when we are sitting around together and it just makes it a pleasure to use. The redesigned ergonomics of the new unit are nice, the slightly angled handle, the soft and chamfered edges everywhere, it feels more comfortable in your hand and overall the shape just seems to make it easier to hold at all the awkward angles you sometimes need to get when using it. The units is slightly more compact than my old v2 units, although the more compact design did lead to a tighter space between the back of the moving head and the body of the unit, on one occasion I was holding the unit in kind of an odd position and one of my finger tips slipped into the pinch-point space momentarily and it wasn't very comfortable. I'll just say I learned from that mistake and I've since been a little more careful where I hold the body of the unit during use. The heated head is an absolute game changer!! I was fortunate enough to experience the heated head before, and it is absolutely the first accessory I recommended when I talk with other athletes about massage guns. It's great that it's now included in the Pro 3 Package. The Hypervolt Pro 3 also included a case which I really appreciate. I like to travel with all of my recovery gear, I take it with me to training camps, on riding trips and on travel to destination race weekends. Having the case included to keep this awesome piece of equipment protected and organized is appreciated! I'm genuinely a huge fan of all my hyperice products, and I'm grateful I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. The next stop in today's recovery routine is some time in my Normatec Compression Boots!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a physical therapist, runner, athlete, I’m always looking for the best way to care for myself and others. I have a hard time slowing down and stay busy in the gym, ice rink, soccer field,.. Recovery is something I take serious. Hypervolt’s new massage gun for me is a huge winner. In the clinic, I’ve used many over the years, including previous year models. The Pro model has a lot of positives: strong percussion, adjustability, numerous attachments some targeting specific muscle groups, long battery life. My biggest take away is the depth this massage gun can work at. In the past, other models left a lot to be desired on larger/deeper muscles. This device is a great option in the professional setting, for serious competitors, or regular fitness/sports enthusiast who like or want the extras. The pro model is manageable but on the heavier side for extended use. The heat attachment feels nice, but I’m less inclined to use it than other adjustments purely based on which muscle group I’m targeting. I found myself using the device most with recovery day or 2 after a workout or activity. It really does seem to help with consistent use keep my body going at a higher level. I tested on friends&family who were all big fans. For the older folks in the family they love the softer attachment options, and tend to like the massage gun on the lower settings. On some level I use massage guns regularly at work, this competes with other top competitors and I think the ergonomics are better for individual use to get those hard to reach muscles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hypervolt 3 is great for everyone. The device was incredibly helpful, specifically in my recovery phase with reducing soreness and breaking up tightness. I have a lot of soreness from lifting, rock climbing, and martial arts. I feel like the Hypervolt 3 greatly helped with my muscle soreness. I enjoyed that it was easy to use and had a great battery life. There are different head options that are great for targeting different areas and also had a convenient carrying case for taking it on the go. The Hypervolt 3 is worth the investment and does not compare to the generic knockoffs. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After spending several weeks using the Hypervolt 3 Pro across different training scenarios, it has become a consistent part of both my warm up and recovery routine. I used the Hypervolt 3 Pro pre workout before runs, weightlifting sessions, and on field soccer coaching. I also used it post workout following longer endurance efforts, leg intensive lifts, and multiple session training days. On recovery days, I used it to address lingering tightness in my quads, calves, glutes, and upper back. Using the heated attachment before training was one of the biggest differences compared to other percussion devices I have used. The added heat noticeably helped loosen tight muscle groups more efficiently. My muscles felt ready to move sooner, especially in colder mornings or after sedentary work periods. The soft air cushion attachment was particularly effective for priming larger muscle groups without overly fatiguing them before activity. I did feel a noticeable difference in readiness compared to using percussion alone without heat. Post session is where the device really stands out. The percussion depth is strong and consistent, and the heated attachment enhances relaxation after intense efforts. On heavy leg days, it helped reduce lingering tightness that typically carries into the next day. Compared to non heated models I have used previously, the addition of heat makes a meaningful difference. It feels more therapeutic and less mechanical, especially during longer recovery sessions. The build quality is excellent. It feels balanced, refined, and durable in the hand. Power delivery is smooth without being excessively loud. The attachments are well constructed and easy to swap. The soft air cushion head is forgiving but still effective for deeper work, and the heated head significantly improves warm up and post workout relaxation. Battery life has been excellent. I have gone through multiple sessions before needing to recharge. My only critique is that it uses a DC charger. I would prefer USB C for convenience, though charging frequency is minimal due to strong battery life. The integration with the Hyperice app and my Garmin device adds real value. Recovery sessions can be guided and tailored based on activity data, which removes guesswork and makes it feel like part of a complete performance system rather than just a standalone device. I would recommend the Hypervolt 3 Pro to endurance athletes, field sport athletes, weightlifters, coaches who are on their feet daily, and masters athletes who prioritize mobility and longevity. Anyone who takes warm up and recovery seriously will appreciate the added heat and performance integration.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hypervolt 3 Pro has quickly become one of my favorite recovery tools. I love using the massage gun before working out and find that my legs often feel much more ready to tackle the work. I have gotten into the habit of using it after every hard workout and believe that my legs are far more recovered and ready to go for the next session. The various attachment heads allow precision massages to perfectly target specific muscle groups, which I have found especially helpful. The biggest thing I noticed while using the Hypervolt 3 Pro was that the day after a hard workout, I didn't experience the usual aches during recovery runs. While the heated head attachment was very pleasant, I didn't find any additional benefit beyond comfort. Additionally, the quiet motor makes this an ideal product to use in gyms or public spaces. The design not only looks sleek but is also ergonomically proportioned to help you apply pressure when needed. Overall, I have loved this product and would highly recommend it for any athlete looking to get more out of their training. Disclaimer: Hyperice gave me this product to try in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s very intuitive, using this massage gun made sense from the controls to the form factor. Changing speed, attachments, and the heating features flowed in ways I hadn’t expected or experienced before from my Nordic Track. The only 2 gripes I had was the heavy weight (which makes sense for a pro model but after a hard session it can feel a bit hefty) and that the lowest setting was still too intense. The vibration and speed were just a little too fast to use on some sensitive areas near the neck or spine. While I typically used massage guns post workout, I was prompted by a friend to try it pre-workout. Using it during climbing sessions kept me from getting too pumped and I felt that I stayed loose longer and didn’t get too worked up from climb to climb. After heavy weight, swim, or ski session it was great at getting deep tissues, something I feel that other guns such as my Nordic Track weren’t able to hit in the same depth so I felt more ready for sessions in the next day. Surprisingly, the heat feature was great for warm up and got my muscles more ready pre-workout, something I had not anticipated. I’ve never had a gun with a feature like this and it has opened up a whole new development of pre-workout routines I didn’t even realize I was missing out on. My workouts felt more activated and ready because I was already warmed up from the massage gun. The pro model leans itself more to trainers and people who need a deep recovery. While using it on clients, it was a lot easier for me to adjust pressure, not worry about weight, and fine tune needs than it was to use on myself. This will hit any muscle ache if put in the right hands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this product 5 stars because it did impact my recovery. I mostly used it post workout whether running, skiing, climbing, or playing sports. I enjoyed it most for lower body, finding it loosened my lower back well and allowed me to work out sore calves/hip flexors. I would recommend this to someone who is very active, as it is a little expensive, and is looking to improve their muscle recovery or is suffering from tightness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the opportunity to try the Hypervolt 3 Pro and I was very impressed with this device. To start the pro came with 5 different attachment heads to use and the bonus was the heated head attachment included. The heated head did need to be charged and turned on independently from the massager. It does come with its own charging cord that you plug into your own charger block and the massager has its own charger. It provides 3 different heat levels to meet your needs. I feel like it did add benefit to my massage and helped loosen my muscles better compared to the non heated options. I felt like I was getting more out of my recovery routine when I used this attachment. The massager has 6 different speed levels giving you more versatility and it still provides you with the intensity meter to let you know how hard you are pressing the gun into the tissue which is a nice feature if you were to use it on someone else. My favorite head is the cushion attachment because it glides well over all tissues and structures on your body without bouncing. The Hypervolt 3 pro is a much larger massager compared to previous models and with this bigger size you get much larger attachments which cover a larger surface area from previous models. I do have small hands but I can still manage this larger massage gun well. I do feel that this is a high quality well built device that will last. It does come with its own zipper case that has a handle and is easy to store. I use this massage gun frequently at my home but feel like it would be fairly easy to travel with. I would recommend this massage gun for individual use and feel that it would also do well in a clinic setting. I think athletes of all kinds would benefit from this massage gun because you can target so many different areas with it. It is powerful but has multiple adjustment settings to meet your needs and desired intensity. I feel it can be used before or after workouts and when used afterwards it lessens the length of time I am sore. The heated attachment does help with warming the tissue up prior to a workout especially in areas that are sore from previous workouts. I think I miss the ball shape attachment because that one was the easiest for me to use on my upper traps if I didn’t have someone to use the massager on me. I didn’t need to hold the massage gun in a completely vertical position to use. I received this product free in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this before and after workouts, used it on shift at the fire house which ended up turning it into a group recovery tool haha. I honestly only used the heated head because once I did, I was hooked! Everyone knows heat draws blood in to the area, so not only are you getting the percussion to help loosen up, but you are also getting fresh blood flow from the heat. This thing genuinely gets warm! I thought it might be gimmicky but it's actually legit. It has turned into my daily go to, especially with it being so quiet that I can use it anywhere. A must have for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Hypervolt 3 Pro before and after my workouts. Before lifting, it helped warm up my legs and made them feel loose, especially with the heat feature. After workouts, it helped with soreness and made my muscles feel less tight the next day. It was strong but not too loud, and it felt comfortable to hold. I would recommend it to athletes who lift, run, or play sports. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been testing the Hypervolt 3 Pro as a beta tester, and the biggest takeaway is how effectively it handles deep muscle soreness. There is a clear difference between a cheap massager and this. When you are legitimately sore after being on your feet all day, the depth of the percussion here actually gets into the tissue instead of just vibrating the skin. It provides that "good pain" relief that actually lets your muscles relax. The build is solid and feels like a professional tool. I was particularly impressed with the motor. It has enough torque to where you can really lean into it on your quads or lower back without the motor slowing down or stalling out. It is also surprisingly quiet, which is a massive plus when you’re trying to wind down at the end of the night without a loud machine rattling in your ear. Pros: Real Relief: It is incredibly effective for deep soreness. You can feel the tension release almost immediately. Stall Force: You can apply heavy pressure and the motor stays consistent. It doesn't bog down. Battery Life: I’ve used it daily for over a week on a single charge. The efficiency is impressive. Cons: Weight: It is a beefy unit. You get used to it, but it’s definitely heavier than the entry-level models. Swapping Heads: The attachments fit very tightly. It takes a bit of effort to pull them off, but at least you know they aren't going to fly off during use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I wanted to love this. The size and strength is excellent. However, I think due to the stroke length, this feels more like a vibration than a deep percussion. The flat additions, including the heated piece, vibrate on top of the skin rather than get into actual muscle. And sometimes feel like they're slapping uncomfortably. The wedge shaped attachment, with quite a lot of force behind it, does get nicely into hip muscles. However, exerting that much force on the gun is exhausting. I will keep using this in hopes of learning about it's quirks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Hyperice HyperVolt 3 Pro for the past few weeks as my daily recovery aid from workouts and runs. For massage guns, it’s very powerful and very quiet. I have especially enjoyed the heated head provided as part of the package. It provides excellent pressure, plus the heat gives it more of a therapeutic feel. I’ve also noticed the battery life is very long and I’ve had to hardly recharge it aside from every few days. It also feels great in my hand and is very lightweight. I was initially concerned that my hand would start to fatigue, especially when applying heavy pressure on my legs, but the HyperVolt 3 Pro is lightweight and fits in my hand well. I have really enjoyed using this product and will continue to use it as part of my daily practice. I’ve even got my wife and kids to start using it and they really enjoy some of the lighter pressure heads that also came part of the kit. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disclosure: I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. As an owner of a well used/ well loved Hypervolt 2 Pro, I was ecstatic to try out the new Hypervolt 3 Pro to see the improvements Hyperice made to the design and tech. What I first noticed after unboxing was the size and ergonomics. It definitely has a more compact design without the extra bulk of the original version. I do appreciate the new ergonomic angled handle which assists in hitting those hard to reach places. The muscles between my shoulder blades are a constant pain point and it is easier to reach the area with this design. The ergonomics also switched out the removable battery handle of the previous model for a fixed one. Although it was nice to be able to remove the handle for things like travel, I honestly rarely used it in that manner. When turning the unit on for the first time, it is significantly quieter. You can easily carry on a conversation while using it which means a lot for someone who owned one of the original brands that was basically a power tool. While also being more quiet, the motor does now have an additional massage level and the stall force shows improvement. I find it easier to dial in on a specific muscle group with the availability of settings. Battery life has also greatly improved! I am sure the overall battery life of my Hypervolt 2 has been depleted by the number of cycles I have put it through but the upgrade is noticeable. I can easily make it through multiple sessions without needing to charge it. Lastly, the included attachments have even made a huge upgrade. My personal favorite is definitely the heated massager which is now included with the new model. I had always wanted to try this attachment on my Hypervolt 2 but never actually bit the bullet because I was skeptical of how well it would work. Well knowing what I know now, it is definitely worth having and I would have definitely purchased one ;) The massager itself already completely changes warmup and recovery routines, but the heating attachment makes it that much better. As an athlete who grew up without this technology, it is a total game changer. Unless you have the time and resources for a daily massage therapist, there really is no comparison or substitute. You can have it with you anywhere, on the field, the track or even while studying. This is one of the few things that I know would have made a huge impact on my athletic performance if I had access to it growing up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start off by saying that I am a distance runner. I run a couple marathons each year and have gone as far as a 50 mile ultra. I am in my late 40's so recovery is very important to me if I want to be able to continue with long distance running. I have also never used a pro grade massage gun like this regularly before. I spent a lot of time with the mini version of a big name massage gun before and a few amazon brands. All that said, the Hyperice Hypervolt 3 Pro has blown my mind! The biggest thing that I love and cannot get over is the power this guy packs! On level one (of six) it packs a heck of a punch. Level six is incredibly fast and yet, relatively quiet. The device seems very well built. When I hold it in my hand I feel like I am holding a well-crafted, heavy duty, powerful machine. It feels and looks good in-hand. The light band on the bottom looks good but doubles as a highly visible battery indicator. The matte finish on the body seems resistant to fingerprints and still looks great after about a month of use. A feature I really appreciate is that the power and speed controls are separate. The benefit there is that you can turn it on without the massage feature starting right away. With most others I have used, as soon as you hit “Power” the massage gun starts oscillating. This one will power on with a button, then you turn the dial to the speed you want. I also got the heated head for my Hypervolt 3 Pro. This has added another element to my recovery, heat. I wasn’t sure whether it would make a difference or not, and I still can’t say it is a game-changer, but it does feel good while massaging. The heated attachment is also very simple to use. You press and hold the power button to turn it on, then a single press of the same button will cycle through the heat levels. I primarily use the Hypervolt 3 Pro for recovery and I do think it makes a difference. I was struggling with hamstring issues (for forever it seems) and the HV3 Pro, along with my Physiologist’s help, are getting me to a much better place. I use the HV3 Pro 4-5 times per week, primarily after my runs as I ramp up my training for my April 26th marathon. My only gripes about this massage gun are minor, but I feel like they are very valid. First, why the barrel plug charger? Why not USB Type C? My laptop, phones, tablets, headphones, earbuds, portable monitor, and most battery powered devices I own are Type C. I really dislike when companies utilize proprietary charging ports, eh-hem… Lightning, and less standard ports like the barrel style the HV3 Pro uses. I have other Hyperice products that use this same barrel style charger so this one is not a unicorn, but USB Type C would be so much better. My second gripe is wishing it came with a ball attachment. That one is not as big of a deal because I can get one for it and all is good. Overall I love the Hypervolt 3 Pro. It is helping me step up my recovery game and become a better, healthier runner!
