When we put ice in it...only one bag it stayed icy like chunks for about a day but even the water stayed cold for another day and a half. But my favorite feature beyond it staying cold forever is the lid. It actually snaps and seals. How do I know? We kept eating in the car and ended up with a hoard of ants. Ants everywhere front seat and back seat but guess where they weren't! The cooler and all food in it stayed bug free. This is my first cooler even though I used to always use my parents. They had the light wheeled ones but the lids never snapped shut. Literally you have to use two hands to open mine. This is truly a great cooler.

A few days after receiving this cooler I was at my local Dix store purchasing some fishing gear. I noticed another igloo cooler on sale for the same price I paid for the one i purchased on-line, however, it did not seem built as well, but it did have wheels, and a retractable handle. Being 68 years old, I thought it was worth the trade off. I returned the one I received on line and made an even trade for the wheeled cooler. Another happy customer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cooler for the price This cooler was awesome on our gulf trip-not too big that it couldn't be carried; sturdy enough to be the extra seat we needed; food/beer was cold for 2 days outdoors(high 90's); measuring gage on the top saved several redfish to fight another day! Very utilitarian hardworking cooler-I would buy it again.

There was considerable melting, but nothing like the regular coolers used by others on the camping trip.It got everything in the cooler extremely cold and maintained the cold until the end.Seems well built and held up fine.

The lid closes tightly and the drain is hard to accidentally unstop. Kept my drinks cold and my game meat fresh on the way home. Could have holes for a strap and or lock. Great value for the price.
