Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase ever! I had a big birthday bash I was helping to put on. We didn't have sufficient coolers because it didn't cross our minds to keep the drinks cold, until the day of (oh no)! I ran down to the Dick's in town and looked at the coolers. This one was exactly what I was looking for! Perfect size with great features! I love the little window so you don't have to open the entire lid. And it really does stay cold for 5 days. In fact, it was longer than 5 days for us. Totally came in handy since we didn't have enough refrigerator space for all the extra food we had left over. All in all, GREAT cooler and great quality! Thanks for being a life saver, Dick's!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hinges and strap Broke on first camping trip Let me make it clear...this cooler is a garbage!...Not even worth 69.99...Went camping in Maine...interior strap holding lid from opening too far broke on the first day!....with the strap broken the back hinges broke like someone tearing a piece of paper rendering the cooler to something with a take off lid....Held ice for maybe a day at the far end....product stayed cold for maybe 2.......upon returning, I had to buy an $18 kit on ebay to replace the hinges...I will have to find some sought of material to fix the strap otherwise it will break yet again! When you buy garbage you get garbage!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chest I got this cooler before I read the reviews. Igloo chests are sweet. It you need repair parts you can get them at your local boat store or online. The down fall to this chest is the handles. They're kind of restricted to movement. I just fixed that flaw and now it's sweet. The hinges and latches are replaceable for few bucks. I put two large and one small bags of ice in this chest, it lived up to it's 5 day rule and longer. For me, this cooler is great. It does all I want it to do. As for the other reviews? Maybe the people that purchased them beat the hell out of them. People, it's plastic. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Remember too, you can get replacement parts for this cooler.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Quality Purchased this 2 weeks ago for a week-long trip on the lake. When loading the cooler on the houseboat during first use, one handle assembly snapped off - I could no longer carry it. It was loaded about 3/4 of the way with drinks, food and ice, but wasn't super heavy. On day 3 of the trip, one of the hinges snapped down the middle. Overall, really disappointed in the quality of this cooler. Will need to replace - but unsure if I'll replace with another Igloo or not, which is disappointing as I appreciated the size and convenient access door. NO WAY this will carry 150 cans of soda using handles based on my experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handles can't hold weight As an experienced camper and Eagle Scout I know my way around a cooler and camping. I took the family camping for a long weekend for their first experience and had to buy a bigger cooler than what I would use on a weekend trip. This cooler has the space to hold a family's food and drinks for a weekend, but the handles can't holw the weight. As soon as I took the cooler out of the truck, the handle snapped off the cooler dumped half of my food on the beach. It made for a long 1/2 mile walk to the campsite. If you are buying this cooler to hold the 150 cans of "soda" as they say it holds, make sure you have a friend to help you carry this after the handles snap off from the weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent insulation and cold retention I bought this cooler to replace the Igloo cooler I have had for 19 years that got damaged in a storm. I packed the cooler full with food I previously prepared and froze for a 7 day family vacation. It took two days to get to our destination and to my surprise all of the food I packed was still frozen after 30 hours. Even the small ice packs I packed were still three quarters frozen. I would highly recommend the cooler. The only concern I have is the durability of the cooler locks. They are plastic and probably will break eventually.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Cooler We used this cooler on a 4 day camping trip to Northern MN with 7 people. Temperature was 85-90 all 4 days. Cooler maintained temperature, meat actually stayed partially frozen to the last day. We still had ice left when we got home. The drain plug is a little high on the cooler which makes it a bit hard to drain all water out withthout tilting quite a bit. I would also like to have dividers to separate food, but overall it is a good buy. I will be purchasing another cooler just like it to replace a smaller cooler we use for beverages that doesn't keep ice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy The cooler would have met our needs had it not been poorly design at the latches and hinges. We used it once and the first latch broke off. The second one was partially torn as well. My son also had purchased this same cooler in Ohio.his failed in the same manner. I returned it to the store upon my return. I was given a complete refund with no hassle.
