I bought this at the end of summer and I'm super disappointed. I'd gone through a couple cheaper coolers that just wouldn't keep ice for even a day so I opted to spend the extra money since it had a 7 day ice retention label on it . We went camping and had to fill it with ice after one day. We were gone 7 days and went through 12 bags of ice not including the ice we started with before we left. I chilled the cooler before stocking it with solid ice blocks and all the food and drinks that went into the cooler were already cold. At $3.99 a bag you can see how that adds up nearly the price of the cooler itself. But it was really hot even though it was kept in the shade I didn't give up on it yet until we just used it again for our last camping trip of the year and it's much much colder out now and ice lasted 2 1/2 days. Do not waste your money on this cooler. For $149.99 plus tax you can find a better cooler than this that will perform the way it is marketed to perform. After doing some research I'll be purchasing an RTIC cooler. They are about the same price, roto molded, 9 day ice retention and they get great reviews. The inside also features an additional basket at the top and two drain plugs on some models. For just a couple dollar difference it's worth it just in the amount you will spend on ice alone will save you money. Igloo is a long time name in coolers but they are underperforming in comparison. I spent $200 on ice that otherwise I wouldn't have had to spend with that and the cost of the cooler I could have just bought a YETI! Shop around and don't get fooled by it's tough looking exterior and portability unless that is the only features you care about.
