Purchased these gloves 12/10/24 for a 6 year old. Price was very compelling for waterproof gloves. My son used them as a kid would in the snow and really liked them but the stitching for the pleather in the palms first separated (both hands), then the stitching in three fingers. The waterproof component is a plastic bag thinner than the food service gloves you get to eat fried chicken. Brought them back to the Concord, NH DSG store we bought them from less than 3 weeks after we purchased, expecting to get a different glove. After so many failures in just a few weeks, it was clear it was just a cheap product, not a one-off failure. The store manager told me immediately that it could not be returned as it had been used. I wasn't trying to get my money back and explained it was a product quality failure and asked them to back up their products. The manager responded that they were just a retailer and didn't bear responsibility for quality issues of the goods they sell. Mind-blowing to hear that when there were many other ways to handle this (offer a credit, exchange, even just an apology). I asked for other options and off to the side, was told that honestly the product was poor quality and I should consider Sierra or LL Bean. Sorry to say, this was my first and probably will be my only experience with this retailer, which is too bad.
