I've used gas powered and drill augers prior to purchasing the ION 10" Ice Auger. Hands down this is by far the best auger I have used for ice fishing! The battery life leaves no guessing on if you will be able to drill holes all day if needed. Drilling holes through two and three feet of ice was nothing to the auger. This will always be one of the main items in my ice fishing arsenal.

Unbelievable Auger!
I have owned two gas augers (Rapala and Jiffy) and both were ten inch. Neither of them cut with the speed and allowed for reverse to clean the hole. The ion ten inch is lighter (I have since also purchased the 8 inch flex auger) and of course no fuel required. My friends have tried it and are amazed. I have two batteries but have yet ti run fine dead on my fishing trips. Highly recommended
