Da*n Good Boot!
I’ve finally decided to retire my current Ashby’s. After a strong 9 years of use, the leather is starting to tear on the toes. As an electrician, I couldn’t ask for a better boot. I wear em even when I’m not at work. I know my new pair will be just as good as ol faithfuls.

They've Changed.....
I have wide feet and the Ashby's soft toe were the only boots where I felt like I had plenty of toe room. I recently bought a new pair to replace the last pair that I bought 5 years ago. something has changed. I don't know if it's the manufacturing location or materials or what. In all my previous pairs my toes have plenty of wiggle room even before being broken in but the latest pair that I just ordered pinch to the point I will have to return them and find a new go to boot. Makes me sad because I loved this brand/model. so just a word of warning to anyone who has worn these previously and is looking for a new pair, if toe room is a concern of yours maybe look somewhere else.

Sad And Lied To
I purchased a set of Irish Setter Ashby boots about 10 months ago the stitching is already worn out and boots are coming apart. It’s very sad. They failed to live up to any standards of quality. the Red Wings store when I purchase them also missed quoted the warranty. I feel cheated didn’t lie to and the boots did not live up to the name at all very sad.

Maybe I Got Unlucky
I've been buying these style boots for almost 15 years now; my first pair I didn't use them for work right away because I had another pair of work boots. My first pair of boots last me like two years but only for casual use, then i bought another pair and started using my first irish setter for work and oh man, they felt great even though they were 2 years old, so I started doing the same, have two pairs of irish setters one for work and one for casual use. I didn't have any problem until 6 months ago that I bought a new pair for casual use... worst new pair I bought, is only been 6 monts and the insole is totally destroyed; I know this model is not waterproof, but my other pair of boots didn't get soaking wet (only water filtration where on the tongue of the boot), this new pair are like sponges, I can even step on a tiny puddle of water because they get all soaked inside, is like water even goes inside by the stitching on the boot sole... and this are not my work boots, I cant imagine using them for work, I dont know if I bought a bad batch, but this were my worst pair of ashby boots... and yeah I bought them at the store, so I know they are "genuine" irish setter boots
