I've been buying these style boots for almost 15 years now; my first pair I didn't use them for work right away because I had another pair of work boots. My first pair of boots last me like two years but only for casual use, then i bought another pair and started using my first irish setter for work and oh man, they felt great even though they were 2 years old, so I started doing the same, have two pairs of irish setters one for work and one for casual use. I didn't have any problem until 6 months ago that I bought a new pair for casual use... worst new pair I bought, is only been 6 monts and the insole is totally destroyed; I know this model is not waterproof, but my other pair of boots didn't get soaking wet (only water filtration where on the tongue of the boot), this new pair are like sponges, I can even step on a tiny puddle of water because they get all soaked inside, is like water even goes inside by the stitching on the boot sole... and this are not my work boots, I cant imagine using them for work, I dont know if I bought a bad batch, but this were my worst pair of ashby boots... and yeah I bought them at the store, so I know they are "genuine" irish setter boots
