I normally go with the soft paw's, but decided to give these a try and wish I had gotten the soft paws. They seem to be built to last, however, comfort is sacrificed to do so. The soles are extremely hard and the insoles do absolutely nothing to add any comfort and I cannot wait to take them off each day. In fact, I don't look forward to putting them on in the morning. I work half a day at my desk and half the day in the field. I would not where these if on my feet all day! The soft paws have a pretty hard sole as well, but come with more cushioned insoles, which make them tolerable. I might have given these 3 stars, but have the same crappy laces as the soft paw, the ones that don't stay tight and the inside cords start coming out over time. Any of you familiar with these or the soft paws, know exactly what I mean. I have been researching insoles, gonna see if that help, if it doesn't, I will pull the plug on them. Also gonna stop by Redwing and get the laces replaced with a suitable pair. I have done that with the soft paws and they have always swapped them out for no charge, which I appreciate.

Men's 1860 Countrysider Waterproof Boot should be offered again. I’ve worn the 1860 for about 12-15 years. These new “Countrysiders just don’t last. I’ll pay for the good 1860 version all day long. They last and can be re-soled and this version can’t. Please bring back the 1860 version. I wore these every day for work.
I bought these shoes a month ago. I have been buying Red Wing boots and shoes for over 30 years. I paid a lot of money to get a pair of boots that were made with good material's that would last me for 1 to 2 years no problem. Know I buy there products they fall a part fast, and there is no comfort in the shoes. I just throw mine in the trash. I will never buy anything from this company again. Every one else should do the same.

This is the first time I purchased Irish setter boots. From what I hear they will last a lifetime so that’s why I chose to buy these

I've had the Contrysider since 2014 and am very pleased with the quality of construction. I use them primarily for yard work and the boot has held up well. They are dirty but the leather and soles are in good shape. I replaced the insoles once,
