Not Water Proof

Not water proof. Like others these boots started to leak about 6 months after getting them. I returned one pair and the next pair did the same thing. I do not recommend these boots. I need boots everyday I can't afford to keep returning them.

Cheapin Out!

Been using this boot forever and never had a problem till I just got a pair and I could tell right away the sole is not the same. It use to feel like walking on air and now my feet hurt and holes are wearing through my sox daily at the balls of my feet. Clearly they are cheapin out on materials. Cmon guys long time buyer here.

I like my boots but I used the on-line sizing help and my boot are too big. The sizing help said I needed 11 wide but the wide makes them too big overall.

I Wore One Of The Pairs For Four Years Very Comfor

These boots are excellent very comfortable from the get-go. I would recommend them to anybody.

Very Comfortable

I'm 43 and of all the work boots I've owned over the years which include thorogood, Justin, dinner, whites, and Red wings Des Irish setters are by far the most comfortable I have a really wide foot with a high in step these are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn they last a decent amount of time for what you pay. I have bought four pairs of them now .

Not Waterproof

Feet got wet while wearing boots. Appears the base of the shoe tongue wasn’t sewn properly’n

Day One

Wore these boots for exactly one day before the back started peeling off. It's superficial, so I guess it doesn't matter, but after one day?

Durable And Comfortable

Been wearing these for a year running a new construction job site in all types of weather and conditions. Climbing ladders, stepping in wet concrete, muck and walking across rebar. They have held up great!

Comfortable

I bought these boots 3 yrs ago. 2 of those years I was working 19 straight days with 2 days off. currently working ever other weekend off. on my feet all day except for lunch. these have worn great for me and will be buying another pair before Thanksgiving. I can get boots every year from my employer but these are so comfortable just never got another pair

Saved My Ankle!!!

Hello on 6/23/23 I fell from a 10ft ladder breaking my tibia an fibula on impact my surgeon said if I was wearing something else my ankle an foot would have shattered on impact resulting in longer recovery time the emt also had a hard time cutting through the leather of my boot so I want to say thank you to Irish setter company for making such a superior product my forever choice in footwear

Quality Tough

6 months in an Engine Assembly Plant. First pair of steel toes I've bought and I love these! These are tough, quality, and comfortable boots!

Great For The Money

I bought these a year and half ago and walk 12-15k steps daily through all weather types including a foot of snow at times. They stay dry and are still in great shape. I treat with mink oil periodically to help the leather last and for looks . Minimal wear at this point. Vary happy that I was guided to these shoes at the store. I added insoles for support and which relived chronic foot pain. I'll definitely return for my next pair.

good for soft foundations. not enough cushioning if you wear them on concrete floors . first time buying red wing product.

Over A Year And They Still Are Doing Great.

Got these boots 15 months ago and they haven’t leaked or broke down. The insoles are beat up had to swap them out but otherwise great boots.
