Purchased yoga mat for my wife for Christmas and 30 days later we can't get rid of the rubber smell. We have used cleaners that we purchased from a local yoga studio plus we have tried soaking it with baking soda. We have also tried air drying it outdoors and the smell is still there.

Nice Mat
This is a really nice mat. Has great grip and I like the size. I am giving this 4 stars because the odor is strong and has not diminished and also because the mat still curls on one end despite much effort to get it to lap completely flat. it also holds on to first and dust like a magnet.

Grip For Us That Sweat

Mat Works Great Even When Your Hands And Feet Are Sweaty
This mat provides better grip than Manduka ProLite yoga mat. It is a bit heavier than the Manduka ProLite. However, when I carry it in my sling, I cannot feel the difference.
