Jaw Jacker’s® Hook Setter Tip-Up sets the hook and allows ice fishing anglers to utilize the flex of ice fishing rods. Made out of tough ABS plastic, the Hook Set is adjustable to either fit the length of a rod or compact for convenient transportation. The trigger is sensitive and can detect the slightest bites. Without having to watch the rod and reel in the Tip-Up, this device allows you to cover more ice. Rod and reel not included.

Never heard of this and someone talked me into getting this that kids fight over since they get to reel in fish looking forward to using when we get ice

Great Product

I have 4 of these and no longer use tip-ups. I use Zebco Dock Demon rods with Abu Garcia spinning reels. Rods are fiberglass and available at Wallyworld for 10 bucks. Graphite rods don't hold up as well as fiberglass rods.

Great Product Bad Delivery

I bought one of these to start and it arrived in a damage box and a box that was to small. Over the item itself was fine. I ordered a second one and the same small damage boxed arrived. Great product but both the product box and delivery box damage which is the reason for the 4 stars.

It Works

Started replacing my tip up army with these soldiers. First time out, she goes off as I’m packing up my flags. Got to fight a 7lb Northern on the jig stick. Seems well made and is easy to use. watch your eyes as you set her up to avoid a nasty smack.

Works Great

Bought this almost two months ago and it works great. Not super rugged, made of plastic, but light and easy to pack. I suggest a fiberglass rod 27-28".

Quick Setup

Bought about a month ago and used it a few times. Easier to bring then tip ups with better results. Honestly the only thing I would like to see is a longer trigger arm for the line to make it less sensitive during setup with gloves.

Perfect For Trout & Salmon

I've owned two Jaw Jackers for three seasons now. We primarily fish for rainbows and browns which tend to trip a flag, run a few feet and drop. The Jacker hooks these short strikes about 90% of the time. The fish also don't get a chance to swallow the bait/minnow. Easier to remove hook and let fish go if u want to.
