I didn’t see anything special about the paddle . It doesn’t have the pop like the Ben Johns and it’s probably good for a beginner but not for one who plays regularly.

It is good for beginners like myself, and its lightweight construction makes it very easy to handle. Speaking of handles, it is easy to grip, and it helps me to control the paddle effectively. The paddle size is large enough that I am able to control the ball. There is something quite thrilling about using a paddle associated with the name of Steffi Graf, and the construction is superior in all respects. I am a senior, and playing pickleball is a sport I can participate in to try and stay healthy and active without over-exerting myself. Having a decent paddle is imperative!

Perfect 16mm Lightweight Beginner Raquet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I appreciate JOOLA generously gifting me this Pickle ball racket to play with. I love the lightweight (8 oz) construction, the sleek design and it has the perfect grip size for me (see photo). I only wish the white handle tape was a darker color because white gets dirty so easily. As a beginner, I also appreciate the 16 mm thickness versus the other standard 14 mm thickness because the thicker 16 mm paddles provide more control and consistency on each shot. I tend to take big swings for power because I don’t have great muscle strength and this thicker paddle is a must have for me. I would definitely consider buying a second Joola paddle if I ever advance to become an intermediate pickle ball player. Another thing to mention is that the phone “tap” feature on the handle didn’t work when I wanted to register for the extended warranty and special offer, but maybe it was deactivated because these are “gifted” items.
