I found these while searching for a pair of long lasting waterproof snow proof winter boots. I have to say I’m very picky about boots, so when I got these, I was a little disappointed to see they didn’t have a side zipper, but that’s my fault for not reading thoroughly. The description says leather and suede upper, but that’s only the stripe, the actual majority of the boot is a soft canvas, which isn’t what I was looking for. I wasn’t a huge fan of the shape of them, as they seem to accentuate the widest point of my calf, but overall they’re very nice and they fit well when I tried them on. They are thick inside so they might feel tight with a thick sock, but they were immediately super warm so a thick sock doesn’t seem really necessary. I haven’t worn them in snow or water, so I can’t speak to that. I most likely will exchange these for a pair of Merrell tall lace Polar boots that I had wanted but were out of stock.
