Top Quality

Durable, compact, simple, excellent filtration in compact package. Very easy to use. Used in primitive/backcountry hunting conditions. Never a hiccup. Obviously didn’t work as well when I let it freeze, but a little warm up inside my jacket and it was good to go. Easy enough to use for a beginner, top quality for expert and demanding conditions. Expensive, but the price is commensurate with the quality.

So far I have use it one time. I tested it out on tap water in the house 1st and in a blind taste test 2 different people noticed a difference in the filtered water. Purchased this to use while camping or while hiking.

Initially Impressed And Excited To Use!

My full review of this pocket water filter is still to come, as I haven't used it in the field yet. However, I wanted to highlight my immediate observations. The product arrived exceptionally well-packaged, with every component securely in place. The included instructions are clear and comprehensive, which instills confidence. Most notably, the quality of construction is outstanding. This isn't a cheap, disposable item; it feels incredibly durable and robust, like a piece of gear designed for serious use. It gives me a lot of confidence in its potential performance. I'll definitely update this review after I've had the opportunity to put it to the test!

Best Most Durable/usable Water Filter Made

The filter is the most effective, user friendly, high quality filter I’ve ever used. Even tannic water which clogs most other filters doesn’t stop it. Easy to clean, pack and pump. I highly recommend.

Great Filter---a Little Heavy.

This filter is built to last. That's why I spent more to buy it. The sturdy build is a great feature and really, one of the only drawbacks--it's a little heavy. I feel like Katadyn would benefit from a video of how to use and care for the filter. They could even put a QR code on the side for first-time users. I found a good fan-made video that taught me a lot. I found that the pump was easiest to use in the sitting position. Lots of elbow grease needed, but very effective. I see this filter lasting for years to come and I can't wait! NOTE- On day two, after taking it apart, it stopped pumping. I took it apart a few times and put it back together, but I was worried I had a lemon. After 3 or 4 times doing that, it started pumping again. Almost certainly user error--- just a heads up.
