Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shoes are symmetrical, feet are not The short story is I ended up taking these shoes back because my left baby toenail couldn't stay inside the shoe and almost was torn off my toe on a few occasions. The long story. People with ugly toes/toenails want a covered toe sandal. The past few years designs from Keen, Merrell, Teva, and others leave too much open space around the closed toe so my toes slip out. I tried on the right one in the store and it was fine, so I bought them. Put the left one on and 'boing' my left little toe nail pops out and gets hung on the shoe. I want a closed toe sandal but MORE closed. My search continues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Footwear Buy Ever! I've been wearing a single pair of Keen Newports for 10 years. They are the only sandals that I own, and they're the first that I'll consider when I need a new pair. They are always in the back of my truck (aka the rolling fish-camp). I've worn them in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, Chesapeake Bay, the Great Lakes and while wet-wading many other waterways in between. The rubber toe box is a real foot-saver in rocky streams. About three years ago the the soles worked loose and needed to be glued back on. A little sanding and some contact cement and they are as good as new, showing surprisingly little wear. These are true durable goods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Right Out Of The Box Ran across these while on vacation at the beach and was wearing flip flop which my Foot Doctor warned me against wearing due to my Plantar Fasciitis. I looked at several stores for sandals with arch supports which I desperately need. Not wanting to pay $99 for a pair of sandals while on vacation and not knowing if I were going to be able to wear them I just went with it... I am so pleased with them, I immediately put them on and walked the beach in my BRAND NEW sandals and continued to walk 5 more miles in them and no foot problems. A true blessing to have my feet feel so good.... I am a happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sandals I wore a pair of ECCO sandals daily in warm weather for over five years. They finely wore out. I began an online search for sandals with the same construction, but could not find what I was looking for. I finally found the KEEN Newport Sandals at Dicks. They are exactly what I wanted. I have worn them daily for almost a month. They are very comfortable. I have wide feet and these sandals are constructed so that you can tighten or loosen an elastic strap to get the fit you need. I normally wear a 10.5 4X size shoe. I had to go to size 12 with the Newport sandals. They fit perfectly. According to Keen they are washable,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not fair to call them sandals I have decided to call them "multi-purpose, all-terrain, footwear." I am an avid kayak fisherman, and I wanted a shoe that would shed the water quickly and adapt back to land travel without a hitch. I was wearing Crocs, and they shed the water okay, but once they are wet, traction and stability diminish greatly. The Keen Newports are perfect for my application and have a great fit too. I generally wear a 10.5 but an 11 in the Keen fits me very well. The adjustable bungee tie system gives great stability in a "sandal" whether in the water or on the trail. These have become my favorite shoes for any casual or outdoor occasion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to Put on Foot Keen Men's Newport Sandal is a well-constructed shoe/sandal but it is very difficult to put on your foot and remove from foot. The back strap that is pulled over your heel of your foot is very difficult to pull on and take off. Look at sandals made by TEVA. TEVA sandals are very similar to KEEN sandals but TEVA's have a Velcro Strap system that is very easy to use. TEVA sandals are easy to put on and take off your feet. I believe DICK's Sporting Goods carries TEVA sandals along with KEEN sandals.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for me I have particular feet. I've had Keen shoes before. They were comfortable, but the quality did not seem to be any better than other shoes half the price. Same goes with these sandals. My biggest complaint is the strap that runs under the outside ankle bone. The strap is hard and unforgiving and was just begging to cut into my skin under the ankle joint. If there were padding or a softer strap at that location, I'd consider keeping them, but I found some Tevas for half the price that were much more comfortable. So I've returned the Keens to Dick's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quality and comfort This is the only footwear that my husband will wear, winter or summer. The comfort and quality of Keens are unbeatable.
