Great Waterproof Shoes

Love these shoes. I wear them every morning on dirt and gravel trails where there is plenty of morning dew. I find them easier to walk in than a hiking shoe, but I am on pretty flat gound. They keep my feet dry, have great cushioning and toe room and add a little bounce to my step.

Favorite, All-around Shoes

These are my favorite shoes-- not just for trails, but in pretty much every situation where I used to reach for sneakers. They are my preferred travelling and adventure shoes. Waterproof for puddles and mud, and the curved sole really does reduce the impact of each stride, making walking smoother, faster, and more comfortable. I came on the site today to order a replacement pair after a year of very regular use. Looking at the limited sizes and low stock, I really hope Keen's not phasing out this shoe/color!!! Having black is essential in the context of the dirty conditions these shoes are meant to brave. I see that some reviews have commented on terrible stability and uncomfort- while the curved sole is definitely a new experience, I'm puzzled at these complaints as a young, fairly fit person. (And I have narrow feet, and Keen has been reccomended against me by experts because of the wider toe, which can cause your feet to slip around, which hurts stability). I have worn these shoes in all matter of environments-- through airports, city streets, up mountains and across boggy moors-- only there, where I almost rolled my ankle in a deep cow hoofprint going down a hill did I finally accept I really should get hiking boots for more extreme activities. Despite this, I really think these shoes can do anything.
