Just Not Comfortable

I've been wearing Keen sandals for many years. I'm on my fourth or fifth pair of Whisper sandal. I have the Rose sandal and the Uneek Astoria sandal. All super comfortable right out of the box and I love them all. The Astoria West sandal just isn't comfortable. There are uncomfortable pressure points across the top of the foot including at the ankle and at the flexion point at the big toe. I do have a high arch which may be a factor. The rigid material that lies along the top of the foot doesn't stretch as you walk. That lack of stretch is likely creating the pressure points along the top of my foot.

Love These Shoes

I don't know why I waited so long to try Keen sandals. I love that I can wear them with socks in the winter, and I especially appreciate the arch support. Light and comfortable, I could wear them all day.

Ok, But Some Disappointed

The Keens I got 3 years ago are literally to-die-for. I have worn them night and day, socks or not, snow or not. I love them so much in fact that I am the one that coined the phrase that they are like "little hugs for my feet". I am positive I have given Keens a TON of business because of my glowing reviews for those shoes. But these? Not so much. They don't fit the same. They hurt. They are stiff. In fact, they are so stiff that the right one hurts my foot to wear it very long. Will I keep them and wear them? Probably, because I am too lazy to return them. I can only hope they will loosen up over time. Yes, I would still recommend Keens as a brand to others, but not this particular shoe. And I will no longer order online. Clearly, things have changed at Keens enough that I now need to try them on before buying them.
