Stiff At First, But It Changed

Hello, I’ve read a lot of opinions about these shoes, especially the negative ones. I own the Circadia Low, which I mainly wear in the city and for everyday use. They are great for all regular surfaces. Although they aren’t particularly fashionable, they are perfect for my feet. When winter came, I was bothered by the draft on my ankles in the low shoes. So, I decided to buy the Keen Circadia Mid, mainly for comfort in the city during the colder months. When I took them out of the box, they were quite stiff, and after my first walk, they were uncomfortable around my ankles. Now I realize this was due to how they were stored in the box. I placed a jar inside them overnight and tied the laces. The next day, I was able to put them on comfortably and walk without any issues. I should also mention that I wore one pair of thin socks and on top of that, woolen socks for hiking boots. The socks make a big difference. The shoes are of good quality and will please anyone looking for shoes with plenty of room for toes.

Out Of The Box Comfort,

Out of the box comfort, it is a real thing. I’m still undecided about Big Foot but being able to walk the woods longer comfortably who knows?

Shoes Tore Up My Feet On A Hike

I had a pair of Keen’s for years that I loved and when those wore out I hoped these would replace them. Absolutely not. I wore the shoes for some day hikes and thought they were ok then wore them for a three night backpacking trip and my feet were ripped to shreds. I had terrible blisters on both sides of each foot, front and back, under baby toes, sides of big toes. My feet were real bad. I do not recommend these shoes. (I know it wasn’t the socks because those were well worn in and I tried different pairs and thicknesses.)

Perfect

Perfect fit, purchased half size up. Put my boots on with thick socks and walked around the house, up and down the stairs fit is comfortable.

What Changed?

These boots were stiffer than any other keens I've ever had. They're still stiff after a backpacking trip but that's not the biggest problem. The insoles are terrible. No arch support and oddly concave. I got huge blisters. I've had keens for over 10 years and they've been great! Something has changed. I'm ordering different insoles hoping that will save them. I might need to switch brands which makes me really sad.

Circadia Boots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They're still pretty stiff so getting them on & off is still difficult. But I can get my thick socks in them without causing my toes to go numb, making them warmer. Love that they're really waterproof!

Bigger Sizes Get Squished In Box

This is my second pair of keen boots and while I love the fit around my foot, the fit around the ankle is extremely painful. I wear size 11. When the boots arrived they were tightly packed in a box that honestly seemed too small to hold the boots. The ankle areas were compressed (folded in half) so badly that even after a week of trying to stretch it open (by placing a mason jar inside) they still continue to squeeze my leg causing painful rubbing against the bone of my ankle. Very, very stiff. I’m hoping in time and with leather conditioner they will relax enough so I can wear them. I love the fit around the foot. Very roomy in the toe area.

Poor Quality, Poor Durability

Very disappointing I have worn Vasque boots for years but when the latest iteration of my St Elias boots changed the last to a narrower fit, I decided to try Keens. In 9 months the soles were pulling off and the rubber was cracking. The out sole was way more worn than it should have been in that short time. I’m not a hard core hiker. But these were my winter shoe and I do walk almost every day year round. Although they were comfortable out of the box they just didn’t hold up. Spend a little more and get a better boot. Fortunately Keen was very fair with their warranty and I was able to replace them with a much better boot.

Can’t Even Get Foot Into The Boot

The tongue of the boot is showed completely shut which leaves such a small opening for your foot. I can’t even get my foot all the way into the boot. I do have a high instep, but I don’t know how anyone would be able to get their foot into this boot. So disappointed and obviously will be returning them.

Dicks, Shame On You.

Not only did they come covered in dog hair, but they were also sent stained. You would think at this price they would give you new shoes. And on top of that there are hidden fees on top of the price you paid for. I found a lil gem added on my credit card statement. They called it a upcharge for taxes. I call it dishonesty. I will NEVER buy with them online again. The shoes themselves are nice, but not the appropriate fit for my feet. The 9.5 to small on the length and the 10 to wide at the heel. The quality and value I rated on the shoes I tried on at the store, not the ones I received.

The Only Walking Shoe I Like

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Keens are the only shoe I have found that I walk in and don't bother my feet. A few years back I bought a Voyageur Mid Boot and loved them so thought I would try these. Haven't worn yet, but excited to try them.

Not A Good Design Change

I’ve worn a pair of women’s Targhee waterproof, insulated boots for five years, but apparently Keen no longer makes them for women, so I tried these Circadias. It’s well-made, but the tongue design is far too narrow and I found it nearly impossible to squeeze into these boots. I’m very disappointed that Keen has messed with a perfect design. I’ll have to try another brand.

Great, Great Boot - Size Up One Full Size

I love these boots!!! I wear size 8 in Keen, size 7 in most other brands. After reading the reviews I ordered size 7. They fit perfectly! Very warm and comfortable. I've used them to walk the neighborhood and in the woods. My favorite boots ever!

Circadia Women's Waterproof Boot

Solid, waterproof. They run about a size large. Watch out - the lace of one boot catches on the hook of the other boot and can sent you on your face. Tie the bow off to the side to avoid that. KEEN - You need to resolve this dangerous issue.

Excellent

Perfect for this freezing snowy weather. Bought 1/2 a size bigger than usual to accommodate extra thick socks.
