Just Got These

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Felt they were a tiny bit snug and part of that is I need an insole. Wore them in doors with a heavy sock, and they seem to be fitting a bit better. A solid shoe with a stable base. They do seem to fit a bit narrower, but still have a roomy toebox. This pair of Targhees are not my first, the negative is that the insoles seem thinner, cheaper, and do not provide very much arch support. On my last pair, I was able to get away with the insole that came in them, no way I could do that with this pair.

Great Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable and they fit my orthotic insoles well. I've been wearing Keens for years now and they are my go-to shoe. I like this color pattern and these broke in very quickly.

Comfortable Walking Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a different shoe for me as I usually buy the waterproof hiking shoe. This shoe seems to run slightly larger than past purchases. It is comfortable, provides great support and is sturdy. I would recommend it for a walking shoe!

Tripping Hazard - Not Sized Correctly

These boots are not sized correctly. When compared to Targhee III you will find the sole of the boot after arch to toe has an additional tread. When measured this boot is at least if not more than a 1/2 longer. This is not noticed on the inside of boot becareful this boot has a high ability to cause tripping

Great Construction

Nice shoe, runs large. Might have something to do with the waterproof style

No “Break-in” Time Needed!

I’ve been wearing some iteration of the shoe daily since 2019. I like that they have streamlined the shoe's look, making them a little less chunky. I have flat feet and wear an insert. I use Keen’s when I will be on my feet all day, and for all my daily activities. Great for walking on trails and slippery surfaces!

The Fit Has Changed!

What happened to the fit? This Vented Targee is NOT the same shoe as the older version. The shoe is much narrower in the forefoot than previous years. It’s also a tad shorter, and the (removable) insole is less supportive and cushioned. In fact it feels like hard plastic instead of cushioned foam material. My last pair of these were great right out of the box and lasted 3 years of hard wear. The same size in this newer shoe is about 1/2 size too short, so order up half size. The toe box is narrower which is noticeable, forcing me to wear a thinner sock. Totally bummed that a great shoe has been changed. I won’t buy another.

Great Shoe

I wore this new hiking boot for the first time. Normally a low rise feels like I am walking “out” of it because I generally go up in size. This Keen was great! My toes didn’t feel cramped and my feet didn’t ache.

Stiff And Uncomfortable

When I took them out of the box, I thought that they looked liked they were made of plastic. If they are made of leather the quality seemed very low. Most of the plastic quality made them very stiff. I tried walking around the house in them to see if they would soften up but the sides rubbed against my ankles. I didn’t think that would improve so I packed them up and returned them.

Great Updates With This Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] comfortable when first put them on, I went on hike and they felt good on the rocky trail. I walked thru water and the shoes look like new. really like them they are wide enough so my toes have room. thank you

Not New To This Shoe.

Not new to this shoe. I have worn this shoe and many other styles of Keens for over 30 years. I recommend them to everyone.

Light!

I wear these for work, which is outdoors and in all kinds of weather. These are lighter and cooler than my winter shoes. Perfect for hot summer days.

Women's Targhee Iv Vented Hiking Shoe

I love my Keen's, they're all I hike in. For winter I use the Circadia Mid Polar, 3 seasons I use Steens Mid and summer I use Astoria West sandals. I bought the Targhee IV because I wanted a lightweight hiking shoe for times when I didn't want to wear a sandal. Also I needed something with a wide toe box. My toes feel great in the Targhee IV, however, overall the fit is quite roomy and my foot doesn't feel quite secure enough. Have only worn them once on the trail and have some concerns. Will try them one more time on a trail before deciding to keep or return. Would like to know how the Targhee IV compares to the other Targhee shoes?? Do they all run large? Looking for comfort in toe box, good gripping sole and a more secure fit. I ordered my normal size 7.5. Can't recommend this shoe at this time.

These Shoes Run Wide. I

These shoes run wide. I have a wide foot and am very comfortable in them but others who don’t have a wide foot might find them too loose.

Targhee Iv

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 pair of the previous version of the Taghee, which were "perfectly " fitting. However, thi new version is not "as" comfortable. I ordered 1/2 size larger, and I'm glad that I did. I like my Keens because I need a wider foot bed.
