Easy to set up and use. It was a gift for my son. He loves it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had this tent for two years now, and i thought it was about time i'd review it. First the Pros: Its a beautiful color, and a snap to get together for such a large tent- and yes, it's quite roomy! Cons: i had thought the vestibule would have a bit more support, as it is it feels a bit... loose, and you have to duck a bit when under there. I'm 5"7' and the highest arch of the vestibule comes to my nose if that helps give an image. Beyond that, the one thing that im the most disappointed in is how much leaking ive had to deal with. My tent has no rips, and the rainfly was secured properly AND under some tree cover during two storms and still there was water pooling from underneath as well as dripping from above. Overall if say, you're going to be at a concert, or are sure to have sunny weather it's ntoa bad tent. But it's not the best either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently used this tent to camp at Arches National Park and the nights we stayed were pretty windy! It held up and didn’t budge but because we staked our tent down right. I love the shield over the tent and the space inside before getting into the tent (my partner and I call it the patio haha!). We store our extra camping essentials in that space so it’s not out in the open when we leave. It fits a queen sized air mattress. It’s a great tent for two people!

Thought I was buying this tent new in box from Dick's Sporting Goods. Set it up with my 5 year old daughter in our living room and she found an LED flashlight in one of the storage compartments inside the tent and there was dirt in the bottom of the tent. Thought this was strange, so I started inspecting the screening for rips, luckily there are no rips; However, there was dirt stains all over the screen. I was expecting new in box, as there was no mention of the tent being used in the product description at the time of purchase.

We purchased this tent for our recent backpack camping trip. It wasn’t too heavy, but it did take up a decent amount of space in the 65L bag. We felt we needed a little more room than our 2-person tent so we could fit ourselves and our gear. This tent worked perfect for our needs - the two of us & a queen air mattress fit great. We had enough room for 4 50L/65L frame backpacks (ours and our other two camp mates) and could still move around without stepping on everything and keep things organized. The vestibule was an added plus - it was nice having some extra room for our chairs & other small items. Would absolutely recommend this tent to anyone looking for a roomier 2/3-person tent or just enough space for 4-person.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took this out for an inaugural vsmping trip last week under very windy conditions, this tent stayed exactly where it was supposed to and didn't loosen after being pummeled by windy conditions for 3 days and nights. The vestibule was so great, it's like having a whole other tent for gear that you don't want inside the tent. Very happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solidly-built and functional car-camping tent. Ample space for our crew of two adults and a toddler. Easy setup. Pitches taut. Fun, retro color scheme. The guy lines can be rolled up into the attached sleeves when not in use. Included stakes are heavy duty. The front porch awning wins the day as a stow area for gear or as a covered area to hang out. Initially I wondered how the tent would breath with just the one small vent, but the rain fly stakes out nicely creating airflow (not to mention the ventilation options provided by front awning system). The tent easily fits back into the included carrying pack - no wrestling required. Cons: the front zipper is really tight and requires two hands to zip (may just be my tent, idk). No included ground sheet, which would be recommended to extend life of the tent. Overall, this is what I feel is a best-in-class considering all factors. For a reasonably priced four person tent with some thoughtful product design, you could do no wrong with the Kelty Rumpus 4. Can't wait for the next outing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this tent as an upgrade to another 4P Kelty tent I bought in 2014, and I LOVE it! The colors are great, the vestibule is huuuuge, and we can fit our big double sleeping pad in there, AND a bed for our adorable pup. We can't wait to go camping again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like how much space there is in this tent and in the vestibule. The mesh walls and roominess help keep it cool in the heat. I also really like the colors. Overall, it seems to be a great quality tent, but I am a little concerned about how well the footprint and floor will hold up. The first time I took it on a trip, a pebble poked a hole in the footprint. The tent wasn’t moving around or anything, so we must have just gotten really unlucky with where our weight was and how the pebble was sitting under it. The fly does a great job with water, and the mesh does great with bugs though! I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a large vestibule, and a taller tent.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was originally somewhat skeptical about this purchase as there are so few reviews online, and a couple questionable. I must say after our first trip with it (Colorado, 10k elevation, 30• nights) we love it! It seems very well made- sturdy fabric and the seams are sealed. Was comfortable for our 3 person family (with bags for 5 nights of camping), though admittedly may have been a bit snug for 4. I found the front vestibule to be very functional- we ended up using it to house our group for a game of cards during a heavy rain the last night of our 5 night trip. I purchased the matching footprint and there was absolutely no condensation or leakiness inside the tent despite it raining on and off during our stay, and then pretty heavily/consistently for a few hours our last night. Only used it 5 days and nights so far, but it worked really well for us - highly recommend!

This tent showed up just in time to load it up and head to the mountains. My first time setting it up was in the dark with some rain... and it was really fast and easy. Large enough for queen air mattress with plenty of extra space. The poles are pretty beefy, and the whole tent once set up with guy lines is very sturdy. I have two large dogs that appreciated the huge vestibule while it was raining. There was very little condensation inside the tent throughout the night. Over all a very functional and well made tent. I highly recommend getting the footprint or using a tarp as the floor seems a little too thin to be directly sitting on top of sticks and other debris. Well done kelty!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Went camping and a severe thunderstorm appeared out of nowhere. No water came in. Would recommend getting the appropriate footprint to achieve best results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased based on features and design. Unfortunately, the shock cord of one pole was broken at arrival. Returned (chat agent issued a return label immediately) as reserved a campsite on the next day. Never chance pitching the tent due to the pole issue. The impression is: the tent is affordable with nice features, the fiber glass pole seems inferior to aluminum one, I was unlucky to get a defective pole but I have anorher Kelty sunshade with a non-defective pole that works well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tent for my son to take with him on Boy Scout campouts. It was to replace a cheap 2 person dome tent he has had for a few years that he outgrew. The Good - Everything fit as it should. Very easy to set up and take down. A lot of good upgrades over the other Kelty tent I own - a Sequoia 6. Vestibule is HUGE. There are improvements with this tent over my other Kelty. The pegs on the main poles that stick into the grommets on the tent are metal compared to the plastic ones on the Sequoia 6. The footprint is also a little better design and actually connects to the tent itself. Now the bad. I was expecting similar quality to the Sequoia 6 that I already own. It was a little shy of that bar. Overall the material was a little lighter duty. Where it really was apparent was the sleeves for the vestibule. They are thin enough so I am worried they will get ripped by inserting the pole if you aren't very careful. Overall, I would recommend this tent again, I just wish it had a little heavier duty fabric.
