Poles Both Broke After Only A Few Uses

After 3 uses, one pole broke in the night with the slightest wind and the other broke on a windless night....woke up hearing the cracking. Kelty said their warranty excludes wind ....and wouldn't honor the warranty for the other pole.

Didn't Protect Us From Rain

Absolutely awful. Very easy to assemble, but felt cheap. It rained one night of our trip and the top layer barely kept the rain from dripping in. Our sleeping bags and the rest of the inside were soiled by morning. Tents from Walmart work 10× better. Very dissapointing experience

Great Tent For Viewing The Surroundings

I chose this tent specifically b/c I liked that it had mesh all the way around. I will use it on my 6 acre property when I feel like a night out under the stars listening to the frogs singing or the coyotes yapping. The rain fly goes on very easily although I doubt I will be using it much. I am a widow with a 30 pound dog and a 4 pound Yorkiepoo puppy. I'm trying to teach my dogs the joys of tenting. The trial run was trying as my bigger dog was nervous since it was cramped quarters. He drooled and panted. The puppy liked chewing on anything and everything including the tent so I had to intervene constantly. I never made it the whole night with them but I can say if I had had no doggie distractions I would have slept peacefully. The whole tent goes up easy. I staked a tarp as a footprint. It was quite a bit larger than the tent so I tied string to the tent and staked inside the the grommets on my tarp. The door to the tent is easy to get in and out of. I have some issues with getting up and down (bad knees) and I was grateful the entry sloped in so I could stand straight up with my knees still inside the tent on my soft mat. Dicks packaged the tent well in a bigger box. I am going to have to use that box to store my tent b/c I couldn't get everything back in the tent storage sleeve. I read reviews on the tent poles snapping so I went ahead and wrapped one long one with electrical tape before even setting it up. I would have wrapped the other one but I ran out of tape. It comes with a shorter pole and I have no idea where that goes. I might mention that it is a good size for 1 person and a well behaved dog. Two people would be a squeeze and they would have to like each other. A lot.

Amazing Tent Until The Poles Broke After The 3rd Use

I purchased this tent 4 months ago and it has been used a total of 3 times. This past weekend when camping in Citico the tent pole just snapped in half. This was not ideal as it was pouring rain at 4 AM and also very upsetting as this tent is not even a year old.

Poles Snapped On Second Use

I bought this for weekend camping in state parks, nothing crazy. The pole snapped on my second use. Upon reading further, this is a common problem.

Easy Setup ,Pole Broke On 3rd Night

Why would a pole break for no reason on 3rd night up?

Great Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tent! Easy to setup, light weight, perfect size for backpacking at an amazing price. I didn’t have any issues and would recommend this to anyone just starting to back pack. It’s a great entry level tent.

Love It!

This tent is great. I recently took it on a 3 day river trip. It did not disappoint. It rained both evenings and everything inside stayed dry.

The Poles Are Terrible And Will Break.

Our friends had a Keily product, It was fine out of the box, but a year later the plastic poles snapped and splintered.

Cheap Fiberglass Poles

I had this tent for 8 weeks and took it on a 2 week through hiking trip on the Pacific Crest Trail. Both of the support poles splintered and broke. It cost me $250 for a new tent on the Trail.

Great Tent For Hiking

Glad that I purchased this product for overnight on the trail it's lightweight and easy to set up

Good Weather Resistance

Overall good weather resistance and ease of set up. Even through several bad storms with it already. My only issue is the front door. When zipping it closed the very end of the zipper is a really bad angle.

Light Weight

I was looking for a light weight tent that I could at least fit myself and my dog in on overnights and longer backpacking trips. This tent does that. The only complaint is the tent steaks are basic and bend on tough soil. But the tent itself is pretty great.

Easy-up And Easy-down

Great tent. Easy to set up and to take apart, even by yourself. Rain cover provides a lot of protection from wind and cold. Front vestibule very convenient to store your shoes.
