Reel Mechanism Failed On 4th Cast

This was purchased for my 4yo child. The first cast operated as expected, the reel was held open, the hook and bait were cast into the water and after a short period of time reeled back in with zero issues (the reel was over-turned on the 2nd cast, with a press on the button with the thumb the line was released). No further issues on 2nd and 3rd cast. On the 4th when reeling in the hook and bait reel was over-turned a few clicks. This time the thumb depress button was unable to release the line. After nearly an hour of disassembly (without doing permanent damage) I was unable to get the reel to release, and the pole is now unusable.

I got this today and it is such a good combo i added it to my heavy setup and caught a 50 lb skipjack tuna off the peir it is the best rod for offshore and inshore fishing
