Please Please Never Discontinue This
I just bought one of these second hand after two seasons of trying to make a regular pad work. Absolutely a game changer. I slept like a baby. I live in western Washington and under-quilts just get really damp here so they aren’t really a great option. Please never discontinue this pad. Truly worth every penny if you’re a hammock camper.

Heavy, Bulky, But Warm.
I carried this for 90 miles on the Tahoe Rim Trail. The “Bad”: It weighs over two pounds, takes up a significant amount of pack space for an inflatable pad, the stuff sack is undersized (normal for Klymit products), and the inflate valve is a proprietary diameter incompatible with most popular “pump sacks”. The GOOD: solid construction, durable material, comes with a patch kit, the 4.5 R value holds up for warmth, adds rigidity to your hammock (used with Kammok Mantis), for the size it doesn’t take much to inflate by breath at altitude. Overall, this was an experimental purchase for me. I’ve had great experiences with Klymit static v style pads. This is the same thing, just much bulkier and made for a hammock. I would not recommend this for long distance trips, due to size/weight/packability issues. But it’s a great addition to an existing hammock set up, if you’re not already concerned with load management over time and distance.

New Insulation For My Hammock!
I received the Klymit Hammock V just one week before my trip and was anxious to see how it performed. I was not dissapointed at all. The temperatures got down into the mid thirties, in the South Lake Tahoe area, and I was still nice and toasty! Very pleased and I look forward to seeing how well it longevity wise.

Comfortable And Warm!
I work with many other “professionals,” and when I told them I was considering hammock ops in Winter conditions they laughed. The Klymit sleeping pad not only did the trick (temps were (~25F), but added so much to my setup, I don’t think I’ll sleep without it. It is a little bulky, but light weight, warm, and useful. Def recommend.
