[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lightweight piece of gear that is not overly abrasive on ropes and perfect for a second break when using the Taz Lov3 as I am while top rope soloing. The downside and this is a real big one, is that it needs to be fed into the rope. If that part isn't a bother for you, than this is a gem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace the prusik knot on my tree saddle and I’m glad I did. There are cheaper ascenders out there that I haven’t tried so I can’t say whether or not you can save some money but when I’m up in a tree I’d rather not have discount equipment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently switched my linesman belt to Sterling Oplux 8mm rope which is just outside the Ropeman 1 specs.....so made the move to the Duck and have been extremely happy ...very slight learning curve but only took a few climbs to feel comfortable....if you are looking to move to smaller rope to save bulk then this is the perfect addition to your climbing rig.....Italian quality as well......get yourself one !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for top rope soloing but upon arrival I read through the instructions and warnings and it wasn’t designed to be used in that type of set up. If you’re thinking about buying this for tr solo I’d look into getting a Climb Technologies roll-n-lock and a Petzl micro-traxion instead because both devices are rated for the tr solo configuration.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kong Duck. Using it for TR solo. It works perfectly. I connect it to my belay loop with an extended sling and beaner, then use a piece of string attached to a chest harness to keep it at check height. This keeps it separated from the minitrax that is connected to my belay loop with just a beaner. This set up is working great and I’m very happy with the Duck!
