I have been purchasing KT tape for years. The last time I bought it was in 2023, as a 150 strip roll. Since then, the company has redesigned the Pro Extreme and it is not for the better. The new version does not have the same elasticity that the old version had. Upon stretching it across the joints, it’s stretches like a worn out rubber band and does not support in the way that the old version did. The new one frays around the edges within an hour where the old one took days of wear. You can clearly see looking at the old tape versus the new tape that the quality is just not there(see photo). The strip of tape I have from my 7/4/2023 purchase still has clean edges, where as the tape I purchased on 7/5/25 looks like it’s been through the wringer right out of the box. The amount of glue residue has left me dumbfounded. The new tape has started shrinking away from the initial placement and is leaving behind lines of glue. I am scared to see what happens when I eventually take it off.
