[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only used this 5-6 times in the last month but it is so easy and solid and I am confident it will last many years. It is light enough to make it pretty easy to install/remove from my cars and the bikes feel locked in with almost no movement once attached. The wedge design to take all the "wobble" out of the rack is ingenious and so easy! And I love being able to tip the rack away from my truck and van to allow me to open the tailgate on both while bikes are mounted. This certainly is expensive but they did not cut any corners with the materials of construction or design. For the confidence it gives me in knowing my bikes are secure and not going anywhere, it is well worth the price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded my old rack to this one and it is incredible! Very well made, sturdy, and heavy duty in comparison to others. Easy to load and unload. Doesn't rock as much as other racks I've used. It connects perfectly to the Kuat swing arm, allowing the tailgate to fully open.

It is very thick and of high quality. Much more than just a deterrent. I also like how the same key works on both the bike lock and hitch lock. I highly recommend this bike rack if you want something of high quality that will last.

Once installed, this rack feels like it is part of the vehicle. Very easy to load bikes, and really like the integrated lock feature. Last bike rack I'll ever need!!

It has a very secure hold on the bikes even on rough roads. I really like the lock feature that tucks away when not in use. I just ordered a Kuat Ramp for it today so I can load a bike by myself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this rack on my truck and my wife's station wagon. It works awesome and holds our mountain bikes rock solid. The wedge feature on the hitch does a great job stabilizing the whole hitch. Materials are awesome and it has a great warranty on top of that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product (and the add on) to haul my family’s 4 bikes (or just 2 when I take the add on off). We did a -150 mi test this weekend to a state park before a planned 1000+ mi road trip this March. I researched a lot of hitch racks before this purchase and I’m really glad I went with the Kuat. Everything worked great. The bike rack was sturdy and held our mix of bikes - a city bike, a 26” MTB, a 20” MTB and a 16” kids bike. Bikes were well spaced and secured (Kuat also mailed me 2 adapters for 20-24” bikes but I only needed to use it for the 16”). the bonus fat bike adapters helped me provide some extra security for the kids bikes to stop any movement (probably overkill on my part but nice piece of mind). This rack has everything you could want - Great, strong platform for your bike (generally regardless of size). Fits adult bikes and kids bikes with ease. Integrated locks for security (handy for when you need to step away). It also stores relatively well - taking minimal space all things considered (though I don’t love how I have it stored at the moment). The only cons I see are going to be common with any setup that can accommodate 4 bikes and is well made - it weighs a good bit and it is long. It’s also a bit on the pricy side (but quality and service from the Kuat team match the price tag so you get what you pay for). Overall - if you are looking for a 2 x 2 system and you have the budget (or can stretch to make this work), you search is over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased for the upcoming season, and couldn't be happier. Last year I would remove my front wheel off and throw it in the back seat of my truck. I'm a sales rep and the bed of my truck is used to store products and boxes and more boxes of literature. Assembly was required, but wasn't terrible. Follow the instructions and it's not bad. The one downside would be the tailgate won't fully open, so it ends up resting on the rack no matter what position it's in. If not paying attention and you were to put significant weight on the tailgate you'd possibly dent your tailgate or the rack. Although, this rack is built like a tank, I'd bet you'd damage the tailgate in this instance before your rack.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very solid bike rack. It was little difficult to put together myself. I would suggest having 2 people to assemble it. Had to return because the height from the hitch to the pivot point is fairly high and I could not open the tailgate of my truck with the rack installed (would hit the top of the rack).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kuat racks are the bottom line best. This is my fourth Kuat rack. All for different vehicles. The base model is a nice looking matte black and has the two trays and two locks built into the rack. Though not theft stoppable,they provide minor insurance from a grab-and-go thief, if you are making a quick pit stop in a store,etc. Set-up of the rack after purchase is pretty easy and completed within 30-45 mins. at a leisurely pace. Kuat does makes parts and pieces available as replacement from damage, on their web site. Lifting and lowering the rack for use is straight forward and a simple process. Even individuals with limitations will find the rack movements to be smooth and approachable. The only weakness would be the fat bike attachments. The pieces available are a ratchet extension and a velcro strap. Not great. I opt to just use bungee cords for both tires and I have never had any issues with my fat tire bikes ever wandering of the trays...even on way bumpy roads. Though expense when all is said and done, this rack is well worth the money spent.
