Item Is Nice, Experience Was Disappointing: Arrived Damaged, Customer Service Lacking

The hat itself is very good quality and I recommend it, BUT... it arrived damaged -- the front of the brim was scuffed. (This is the second time from recent orders from Dicks that a hat arrived scuffed - not sure what's going on over there, but quality control is lacking.). Even more disappointing is that when I contacted customer service, they wouldn't replace it -- instead they said I should just return it to a store (spending my own time, gas, etc.) and order another one. That's lacking and just a generally disappointing experience from a company that usually has great customer service.
