Flimsy Rod

My husband broke his brand new rod on the first day he used it. He put his reel on another rod, seems to be working ok, but they are just trying to sell a cheap-made setup by calling it a fancy name: the American Hero. Thumbs down.

Meh, Has Issues!

Me and a buddy both bought one same day. Within about 3 hours of being on the water we were both back to the store because our rod’s had snapped. No abuse no foul play. Just simply snapped during casts or regular setting of a hook. They did replace mine and his both and my 2nd rod hasn’t given me any issues but i’d say buyer be ware or get the daiwa set up for the same price. Reel is basically junk all plastic. Expected more from Lews.
