Not The Worst Installation Experience

Just installed it today and it wasn’t too bad. Didn’t want to have to buy a new mounting frame for it so we had to drill new holes in the frame, but honestly it wasn’t bad at all. The backboard had a small scratch on it but other than that, it’s a great product. The rim and net are beautiful!

Good Starter Hoop

Bought this about a month ago. Found this at a reasonable price. I was replacing my backboard on a square pole.When I purchased, it mentions it uses the universal bracket to install to wherever you're going to mount. It is needed as the hoop will not sit correctly and Is harder to mount. Would recommend some help putting together and mounting. Some screws are hard to install. Mounting hardware not included either. Otherwise than those issues, it is a good backboard for the price and looks great.

Excellent Backboard!

I replaced a 15 year old (Lifetime) backboard with this backboard and rim set and couldn’t be happier. Setup isn’t too difficult if you’ve replaced one of these previously. I also had the luxury of using my former setup (while it was still hanging) as a guideline as I put the new one together. Furthermore, I was fortunate in that I simply attached this new unit to a pre-existing Lifetime pole.

I put this on an existing Lifetime pole/base setup and it worked great!

48" Board And Rim Installed

Overall, I'm happy with the end result...getting there was a bit of effort. The bracket took some building but was not too bad and all supplied bolts were good. Fitted to the wall with 4x M8 anchor bolts which seem sturdy. The The final two M12 bolts needed for mounting the board were poor as the nuts could not be threaded onto the bolt so bought some replacements. Due to the weight of the board and awkwardness of lifting and positioning to get the two M12 bolts through, I ended up having to hire some access platform for safety...certainly worth it just to be safe. Being an Engineer, I would suggest a review of the bracket as install of the board to the bracket could be made much easier, for example droping the board onto supports then anchor it down. Was very tricky to support the board whilst threading the bolts through several bits of bracket. Main thing is it is fitted, secure and son is happy.
