It’s Great, Once It’s Been Built

We bought the pump adjust system for my son’s birthday a month and a half ago. He enjoys it, but adults be prepared for a lengthy assembly process. It takes a strong adult and another helper (or two for certain steps). The pole cap was the wrong size so we had to have the company send the correct one. They were very prompt at replacing the part. We would never have figured out the instructions had it not been for the video. (I may never get that background music out of my head.) We only had to make one trip to the hardware store to get a correctly fitting bit for the ratchet for one of the steps, but what project doesn’t require buying a new tool? Overall, a good product that seems like it will truly last a lifetime.

Nice Hoop But Assembly Is Rough

When I bought this, I thought the name Lifetime was an adjective to describe how long the hoop would last. Come to find out, it’s a great description of how long it takes to assemble. Nice when finished but complete nightmare to put together with terrible instructions and poorly labeled hardware.

Great Basketball Hoop

The basketball hoop took about 4.5 hours to put together with just one person for most of it. The directions were fairly straightforward and the video of it being put together helped too to get a visual of it. I struggled to find the right spot to get the short extension arm to line up with the main support bar, but keep playing around with it and you’ll find the spot in 4.5. Bolt DIH in step 5.2 had a hex head despite the instructions showing a rounded Allen head, which led me to believe I was missing a bolt. Bolt DYX in step 5.4 was too large to fit through the holes in part CKM no matter how I tried and I ended up drilling out the hole a bit more. Other than that it was fairly straightforward and I had no extra parts at the end. I ended up using a milk carton with the bottom cut off to dump the sand in and also only put 250 pounds in the base with another 120 in bags on the top to make it easier to move the hoop. Good luck with your hoop as it is made pretty well and is quite sturdy
