Rated 1 out of 5 by from Parts will fall off in no time Purchased knowing it had a 225 weight rating but it should be set at less than 200lbs. Do not buy it because you will use it for a season and then parts just drop off it. I am attempting to work with the manufacturer on replacement parts and in determining how to drain the water out of it because drain holes/plugs are on the top and no where water does not naturally drain once water gets in. If Lifetime is not supportive of aftermarket support of their products, we will have two pieces of junk. I will let the buying community know of the aftermarket support in another rating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's very good for what it is I have two fiberglass boards (which you have to be a little careful with) and when guests with kids come over and they want to try stand up or my grandkids are here and want to go out, I wanted something bomb-proof which the fiberglass isn't. So I got one of these. It's a great beginner board, is very stable and if you run it into the dock or the shore no harm done. I'd recommend it especially if you have kids who will want to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for families I purchased a Freestyle XL paddle board last summer to use on local waters in northern Utah, the Great Salt Lake, Pineview and Causey Reservoir. My favorite feature is the durability of this paddle board. After a day out on the water of the GSL, I can easily bring the board home and rinse all the salt water off of the hard plastic. When not in use, my 3 yr begs me to bring the "surf board" out onto the lawn so he can pretend he is out paddling. Again, I have no concerns with the durability as he jumps on and off, drops to his knees and hits it with the paddle. Using the paddle board is a great family activity and we will be looking at getting a second one for this summer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Price, Good Paddle Board I saw ad for this paddle board $299. Everywhere else was $400 plus. Renting would cost $60 per day. Very affordable, but Dicks all along front range Longmont, Broomfield, Boulder, Lvlnd ran out. I special ordered one outta Longmont and had pretty good help. Happended to be in Aurora same day and saw a Dicks--sure enough Aurora store had 9 NINE in stock. Seemsed odd Aurora as far from water as most any c=CO city would have nine when other cities closer to water had none.Anyway, I bought from Aurora, Works great on water. Theres dime sized hole in front that concerned my I just plugged it up with syran wrap. Dicks Longmont kindly refunded my special order.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This board is bullet proof We live on a lake and I've had a nice fiberglass board for several years. Problem is when guests come over the kids always want to go out on the board and sometimes they're not very gentle with it or the paddle. So I got the Freestyle XL for the kids. They can run it into the dock or the shoreline and I have no worries. My wife uses it too and likes it just fine. I tied a piece of nylon climbing webbing across the back so she can drag the board across the lawn to the lake. As others have pointed out, the board is awkward to carry. But it is what it is...a relatively inexpensive bullet proof board. I recommend it for certain uses, but not for a serious paddler.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Board I bought this board on sale for $200 because I wasn't sure if I was going to be good at paddle boarding or not so I did not want to spend a lot of money on something I would eventually return. I used it for a week and I exceeded what i was going to be able to do as a beginner so i returned it to invest in a better board. The only issue I had with this board is there is a hole in the middle, I assumed its purpose was if water got on your board the water could have a way out, but it also took on water. This board is great for beginners because it is so wide. I would recommend getting a lighter board, trying to haul a 40lb board can be difficult. Also the fins are hard to lock in place while in the water. All in all a good board for beginners.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Customer Service Love the drop down fins, but lost one to the lake. Called Lifetime's Customer Servive in Utah (800-225-3875) and talked to Bruce Hall who said they would mail me a replacement at no charge! I seriously feel the lost fin was my fault, but he did it anyway. Great to see Awesome Customer Service still exist in America. YAY!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Paddle Board toy I purchased this item for use on a very calm pond, my intention is to leave it on the beach and use as desired. We are experienced w/ kayaks but not paddle boards. My primary motivation in buying this item was price. I consider this item to be suitable for casual fun with a novice and look forward to many years of use. As it is hollow and made of plastic....I don't see it suitable for any type of rough handling. One note...I was surprised by it's weight and bulk. Not a problem lifting it on the roof rack; however it was pretty bulky if I were to carry it back and forth the 100 yards to to the beach.
