Excellent! Buy It.

We have 2 of these kayaks and have had them for about 5 yrs now. I highly recommend them. They’re extremely stable, trustworthy and reliable to use. We never hesitate to use them. They were the first kayaks we bought and I was so scared to try them as an unexperienced single mom. However I learned quickly they were very easy to use and also safe for my kids to be in. I definitely always make sure my kids are in life jackets but they’ve never flipped over on us once. My girls loved them so much all they did was laugh in them the whole time. You can actually fit 2 adults and one kid in one of them or 3 teens/kids in one. They move pretty fast across a lake which shocked me. The only thing is these kayaks are very heavy and hard to lift up to put on top of a yukon/tahoe for travel. Definitely need two people preferably at least one man to help. We use J hooks. Using a trailer would be a lot easier, which we ended up buying one for $400 at harbor freight. In my opinion the best straps to use to tie down kayaks are the NRS straps. Anyways I highly recommend this kayak especially for beginners, you won’t regret it!

Very Stable

bought about 7 years ago in australia. we take on annual camp trip to near a lake. big hit with families all using it, one after the other. easy to load on to suv with right technique with two people. did not find the need to load with one person. very stable, two people can comfortably sit. also with 2 plus a child. no problems tracking. not much water leaks in while kayaking. may not be the fastest but for us stability is more impirtant.

Definitely heavy but stable. Takes 2 people to carry. Motor mount was wobbly but I put a strip of rubber between the bracket and the vessel which fixed it. It tracks like a snake with a motor on it. Overall happy with the purchase.

So far so good, we're very happy with the Sport Fisher. Nice to have the ability to go as tandem or single, we love that!! I just wanted to point out the dimensions are not completely accurate. I was building a kayak rack to hold this and 3 other Lifetime Tamarack kayaks, and this kayak (at least the camo version) is about 38 inches wide, not 36. I had already cut parts to fit this snugly at 36 and 3/4 inch, so I was disappointed to find the kayak was larger than that. Fortunately I hadn't assembled the whole thing, but I did have to rework a bit of the project. Also, the Tamarack kayaks are also slightly wider than noted at about 31 and 3/8 inch. Just sharing that info in case it helps.

I bought this kayak for duck hunting. I’m 6’2” and weigh 230. I needed a light kayak that could carry a lot of weight, and it does! It’s also easy to paddle weighted down, it’s faster than any of my high dollar Ascend kayaks and much lighter. I added a different seat because the one that comes with it is junk. I highly recommend this kayak. I e out as many as 4 dozen decoys on the kayak with no issues at all.

First time on the water a black plastic clasp snapped while being adjusted. Notified Lifetime customer service via email, and received two replacement seat backs in less than two weeks.
