The mounting kit worked well enough. My only issue is with the diagonal support brace. I've installed enough swinging gates to know that a diagonal support brace prevents sagging by transferring the weight to the hinges (or in this case the mounted pole). Typically it runs from the top corner opposite the hinges down to the bottom hinge corner. The directions for this kit, and all the pictures showed the brace in the opposite direction. I follwed the directions and it didn't seem that sturdy. I swapped that bracket and it is much more solid.

Great hoop for price - had to buy mounting kit separate though

I had to build a sturdy 11" extension so that the backboard would not hit the eaves of our garage. Installation had one hiccup as it lacks emphasis on which direction to install pieces. Difference between ends of a small metal piece was not evident. Cost me a few minutes and not a deal breaker.

I like how this looks up on our house. Instructions were a bit confusing since it’s universal and multiple assembly styles. It took quite a bit longer to install than we anticipated. Overall, we like it very much.

Installed this today and it went great, very straight forward. Just one item was missing from the install booklet (you bend the angle pieces to the shape to fit the holes on the backboard. It wasn't in this book. But it was written on our Lifetime backboard book so we figured it out.

Haven't been able to put it up yet, but I will once spring hits. My mother-in-law recently got us a basketball hoop for the house, and we've been waiting to install it

We installed this unit on top of our garage roof. The unit itself is great but 1/ terrible directions; 2/ no plan or provision for going over a gutter if it borders the roof without building a platform; 3/ no way to adjust the height of the unit if installed on a roof top. So you need to be okay with whatever height your roof is unless (and to span a gutter) unless you build a kind of platform, which is what we ended up doing.

I bought this to replace a 30 year old pole bracket. There are not many options online and with it you have to buy a lifetime backboard otherwise the holes will not match up. Anyway it is not sturdy and the metal will twerk and bend by hand if you grab the back board. I bought it for my two young kids so it is fine for now but would not recommend for teens or older.

Product was in good packaging and was easy to install

The instructions are terrible but it’s pretty obvious how it goes together. Seems well made and definitely strong enough for a wall mount application

Bought it took 3 days I paid extra to get it earlier expecting to get a nice mount kit yet I ended up getting a used one with no Manuel on how to assemble. Paid $80 for this thing

Purchased a month ago. You do need to read the directions. I haven’t installed it yet but I believe it will work.
