I bought this 2 weeks ago. My kids had a great time sharing it on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River, so I bought another one for more adventures.

Nice But Could Use A Few More Features For Small Adults.

I bought this kayak for myself. I am a small adult. This kayak tracks well enough, but of course the paddle is too short for an adult. There is no place for any type of storage, so I added a bungee with padeyes. Also, although there is a recessed area that acts as a handle, it was hard for me to carry this, so I added two side handles and a T stern handle so that I could carry this with my husband. I don't know if a child could carry this or not. Also, there is no comfortable way to sit on this, so I added a gel seat and purchased the seat back from the company. I also had to purchase scupper hole plugs from another company. I plugged the two holes under the seat, but left the one near the bow open for drainage, which would not be needed with a longer paddle. If you are an adult, you will want to make this little kayak comfortable. It is the only length that would fit in my car with the seats down, so I am glad to have it. But, it has taken lots of work to make it work for me.

My husband and I bought two of these kayaks for our grandsons for Christmas and they were, by far, the highlight of the day! The boys were so excited that they put them in their pool to try out immediately. An added bonus is that they came with paddles just the right length for kids. We had been looking since October for just the right size (our grandsons are 8 & 6) and when we called the Gainesville store the personnel there couldn’t have been more accommodating. We live about an hour’s drive away from the store and they were happy to hold them for us to pick up. This experience at Dick’s Gainesville store will ensure that we are lifelong customers.

Purchased this kayak in late January and took it out for the first time today only to discover that there was an opening/crack in the back/bottom along the seam... wish I would have noticed that before I was in the middle of the lake... turned my fun family day into a submerged shipwrecked disaster.
