Louisville Slugger Pro Prime TPD1 Torpedo Maple Bat

About This Item

The Pro Prime Maple TPD1 Torpedo Baseball Bat is engineered to help players maximize performance and hit more pitches on the sweet spot. This torpedo bat is reshaped to shift mass from the end of the barrel toward the center brand, adding more weight to the sweet spot and helping players consistently barrel up the ball with more power. The Pro Prime TPD1 features a slight handle taper for improved comfort, and its UV light treated Pro Series Finish creates a hard, high-gloss topcoat. All new Prime bats are backed by a best-in-class 75 day limited warranty.

FEATURES:

  • Pro Hardened: Steel rods generate a combination of pressure and heat to compress the wood of the bat and create a harder, denser surface along the entire length of the barrel
  • Pro Grade Maple: A hard wood bat material trusted by professional players
  • TPD1 Torpedo Bat Barrel: Mass of the bat is shifted from the end of the barrel toward the center brand, adding more weight to the sweet spot and helping players consistently barrel up pitches.
  • UV Light Treatment: A specialized ultraviolet lamp generates a chemical reaction within the topcoat to immediately cure and harden the material
  • Professional Series Finish: An enhanced resin material, paired with an ultraviolet light finishing process, results in a bat 30% harder than previous Louisville Slugger Prime wood bats with mirror-like appearance on gloss models
  • Seamless Decals: Applied directly under our high-definition topcoat, the iconic center brands and back brands blend into the bat almost as intricately as the grain of the wood itself

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • 75-Day Limited Warranty: Every new Prime bat features a best-in-class limited warranty that more than doubles our previous 30-day coverage as our mark of confidence in the hardest bats we've ever made.

Nice Bat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this bat two weeks ago. High quality wood bat. Very impressive workmanship and finish.

Solid Bat!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the pop off the bat! The barrel fits where I make contact the most and it’s not too end weighted. Only flaw I can mention is the cup at the end is a bit thin and can cause collapsing or breaks if you catch it wrong. Just pick better pitches! :) The warranty is legit! They were very generous and replaced 2 bats that unfortunately I chose the wrong pitches to swing at ending in a splintered end and collapsed cup. Overall solid bat though and reasonably priced compared to other torpedo bats on the market.

Had To Try

No hype….there’s something to this torpedo phenomenon…I absolutely love this bat.

Great Warranty On A Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought one of these to start off the summer season, unfortunately I broke about two months in. The warranty process is so easy that it didn’t matter and I had a new one in less than a week. As for the actually product, I’d put it at a slightly end loaded swing weight for wood bats. Might not fit a 14 year old swinging wood for the first time but great for stronger players. The heavy weight leads to slightly higher exit velocities than other wood bats. Definitely meets the standard for high quality wood bats, and the torpedo is great for players with a longer swing.

Good Pop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the torpedo bat a few weeks ago for my 17 year old because you couldn't use Baum Bats. The aesthetics of the bat takes a little getting used to but the ball really seems to jump off of it. It also takes a little time getting used to where the sweet spot is. Overall he really likes the bat.
