Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with the unit I bought this unit about a month ago for a small fishing boat I use on the river. It is easy to use and reliable. I have had an issue with the down imaging and sonar being noisy, but I am hoping that I can fix this by leveling the transducer better on the boat. I am not a fan of the automatic side imaging range setting, and I cant figure out how to turn it off. The ability to set a constant range would be a nice feature. My only other complaint is that the power cord that came with the unit was only about 5 feet long. I don't see why they would make this so short. I had to splice to another wire.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dosent always work I bought this 2 months ago and made sure the transducer was exactly where they said to put. It. Did the level test with a level and coins, made sure it was nice and tight. Plugged it in and it worked for maybe 30 min. After that it would not automatically adjust for bottom and most of the time it will read 0feet to bottom. So then you have to turn it off and back on. Never shows fish. And didnt pick up on my kids swimming under and around the boat. I have never had a problem with a Lowrance. They have always been very faithfu. So it has to be just this certain one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too soon to tell Only had my boat out once since installation but I was in about 90 feet of water and the sonar seemed to cut off at about 50 feet. From that point on I just had a flat line on the screen until I returned to shallower water. I can't honestly post a fair review at this point because I need to experiment a little more but I don't understand the cutoff when I got into deeper water. A friend of mine said it was probably a setup issue but when I go into the menu it appears that it should auto range for any depth.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bad salesmanship Bought this after being assured the gps had contour lines and lake maps. Before opening the box I realized that the gps was just a plotter and had none of the lake details that I was sold on. Nothing wrong with the product if that's what you're looking for, but I made it very clear that was not what I wanted. Dick's didn't carry the model I wanted so after returning the unit I purchased the correct graph elsewhere. If the salesmen would have told me what I needed to hear I would have probably just picked a different make/model that day and made do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not reccomend to anyone Lowrance Hook2 Triple shot is pretty much worthless in my book, I have been trying to get mine to read (2D Sonar) when you go over 10 MPH it quits reading the bottom. I have over 25 emails, spoke with at least 5 lowrance "techs" they all have different suggestions on mounting position, none have solved the problem. I sent pictures each time even some videos. Nothing works. I would not suggest this unit to anyone, Anytime I solicit help on various message boards, facebook groups etc. I find most everyone who comments are people with the same negative issue, nothing positive or helpful about this unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No maps Bought this (Hook2x 7Ts) with the advice of the sales person, saying that it comes with maps. It doesn’t. I had to return it and eventually bought the Hook2 7 Ts at bass pro. It comes with Navionics+ maps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest Fishfinder/plotter Ever I am an ex tournament fisherman who demands high quality in his fish finders and equipment. I have always bought Lowrance but this unit is by far the easiest for set-up. I had mine going within minutes of being out on the water and was blown away by the clarity of the display. There were also no problems at faster speeds for the chart to keep up. I can go 30 mph and more and still see every feature on the bottom. The price for this unit is better than a lot of the competition units I looked at and provides more features and better value. Overall, a great unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Less than happy. I installed this on my skiff the sonar functions work great! The GPS will not load charts, I just get an icon showing my boat but no charts. Frustrating to not have this functional.
