Great Lure

i got this without knowing what i'm doing, but had cash burning in my pocket and a desire to catch fish since the price of fish is going up in the market and time to catch my own. After a $50 day going to the beach, i came home empty handed. Didn't use this little guy but possibly will in the Spring when i try out fishing again.

Easy And Productive

A few weeks back saw lots of birds and rolling fish in the Raritan Bay. Casted all types of lures including top water, spoons and jigs with no results. Tied on the Crippled Herring and first cast landed a 38 inch striped bass.

The Old Style Is 5 Stars

I owned an older version 2oz chrome for years but lost it, my favorite lure 5 stars for catching fish. The new lure has a grid pattern on the body, quite different reflection from old. The reason the new version is 3 stars the new grid pattern sides loses the chrome, chips off after a single 2hr surf fishing trip w/no rocks. It looked dark and pitted underneath no flash, tried to brush clean then noticed the chrome came off. I fresh water wash my lures after every trip. I wrote to Luhr-Jehnsen and all they did was thank me for the feedback and will forward to the right area. I had my old lure for a couple of years and never ever had the chrome chipped off? Bad batch of different lure weights or what? No matter it just does not catch fish like the old. Until they fix the chrome chipping I don't recommend.

Great Casting Ability

This lure can outcast any metal lure as it has no wind resistance and I use this on windy days to get it out beyond the breakers. Easily cast over 120yds consistently and has great action. A must have in your tackle box.
