Always glad to see them getting lighter and lighter! So far I've only taken this rope on one trip (multipitch in Red Rock) so I cannot speak to durability, but it handled well and was nice and light to carry.

This rope is light and has a great feel. It’s easy to work with and runs smoothlv through devices.
I have had two sets of these ropes and have used them for both alpine trad routes and ice climbing. Would recommend.

got these specially for a week long trip to Ouray. keeping them as Ice only ropes. Really noticed how water repellent they were on the first day! my older 60 and 70M ropes immediately ice over compared to these

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can’t say enough about this rope! I love Mammut ropes, and this rope is no exception to the quality I’ve always observed from them. Perfect rope for trad climbing half ropes. The dry treatment Mammut uses is incredible as well.

Climbing in the Canadian Rockies I love that these are triple rated. If Yam eats one of your ropes, you can use the other as a single! They are not the lightest doubles but due to their versatility they are a staple in my gear closet. I've used them in the alpine, climbing, and during glacier travel.

One of the best lightweight ropes I've ever used. Stays nice and dry on the ice and has great durability.

top end score for a rope that handles well, is versatile and ready for use on long alpine climbs. this rope pairs well with another of the same or with a tag line if you really trying to save weight on a long mission. thanks Mammut
Nice handling skinny rope without the bulk. Its nice having a light weight low bulk rope for long approaches, this rope is only a little heavier than a single twin. This rope has that Mammut feel and handling. Was disappointed that it had taped ends instead of the round burnt ends with the print rope info typically found with Mammut ropes.

use it in a twin rope system for ice climbing. awesome rope, can always climb confidently with it. I prefer 8.7 as its a bit lighter than the 9's and im not comfortable risking falls on 7.5mm ropes, so the 8.7 is the perfect in between with a reliable rope that I trust while still managing weight.

I've used Mammut ropes since 1973, in the Rockies, in the Alps, in the Sierra, in Alaska and the last, handle well and provide all the protection you need.

By far one of the best rope I've ever had. Perfect for any adventure in the mountains all year round.

Easy to work with. Nimble for a single. After using it for multiple crevasse rescue scenarios the rope sheath showed no signs of early wear and tear.

I'm on my 3rd alpine sender 8.7 (previously called the serenity). This is my go to rope for all alpine and climbing where a single makes sense on rock, ice, glacier, snow etc. Light weight, super supple, easy to manage.
