Excellent Rope

Despite the “alpine” designation, this is indistinguishable as far as I can tell from other Mammut dry ropes (i.e. Crag Classic etc.). I got it for standard toproping (fairly new to climbing) and it’s been great for that application. Good hand feel, easy to handle, vibrant color, and worked great through ATC for rappel and Neox for belay. Not too fast, not too slow. I like the dry treatment for outdoor use. As a noob, a great rope to rely on as we venture into the great outdoors.

Fantastic Line

purchasef fpr some Alaska climing. worked great and was.easy to spot against the snow.

Fantastic Rope

I used this rope for three climbers on Mount Rainier this summer. It is light, strong and supple. I will continue to use it and recommend it.

Great and lighter rope. Easy to see and has held up well on weekend trips and trips to the creek in Utah!

Exceptional Rope

I love mammut alpine and crag dry ropes. I have an 80m crag and a 60m alpine I don't see or feel any difference besides colors and naming. They have both held up exceptionally well to abrasion and sheath wear. The dry coating can feel a little tacky at first but that goes away quickly with use. The 9.5 diameter runs smoothly through a grigri and is still thick enough to feel like the rope won't get away from you during a fall. The stretch of the rope is just in that sweet spot not too much and not too little.
