Thick and sturdy rope. Being a larger guy climbing, I don't have any worries taking falls with this rope.

I retired my 10.2mm workhorse rope from Mammut this summer and went with the 9.9 this time. This rope is amazing. Mammut ropes are unparalleled in terms of durability and function. The rope has great feel and feeds through a Gri Gri well. Would recommend to anyone.

I've had this rope for 9 months (3 months of heavy use), and it's still looking great! (Just a little fuzziness with normal wear and tear). I chose the large diameter, dry treatment, and 70m length for more durability and versatility, which has worked out great. It was easy to use right out of the package without too many twists. I've washed it 3 times with water and once with rope wash, and the middle mark is still visible - maybe a little faded, but I don't plan to re-mark it yet. I like the color as well - visible enough without being a jarring neon. I mostly climb single pitch sport routes with a grigri belay, but I've also used it for multipitch, trad, and rappelling with an ATC, and it has worked well with all my other equipment.

We have been using this rope for over 2 years now, mostly on the east coast of Canada and US, in about every possible conditions except for snow. The dry treatment has been very effective in keeping the rope clean and avoiding to pick up too much debris. It feel great to handle and could be used by anyone. I would recommend to rope for its durability mostly, but on the other hand, it means it is on the heavy side, which makes it a little less pleasant to carry around.
As always, Mammuts rope are excellent. The rope feels nice and the catch is soft. It is a 9.9 rope so it is heavy but that is to be expected. Would recommend!

First few uses this stuck in the grigri and was hard to feed while lead belaying. I believe this was due to the dry treatment. (For context I lead belay with the grigri the same as I would an ATC. I do not touch the device unless necessary and had to in order to feed any rope.) This has improved over time. I've probably used it on 10 routes in 3 months and think it will continue to improve with use. So far it has been a great first rope with not a lot of stretch. I might consider a dry core or a skinnier rope for my next one.
All Mammut Crag Workhorse and/or Dry ropes are super durable, supple, and do not kink.
I have absolutely abused this rope over the past 6 months. All over Vermont, the Adirondacks New York, Red River Gorge Kentucky, American Fork/big cottonwood/ little cottonwood/Zion/Unitas all in Utah. This rope has seen it all and held up like no other. Barely any damage to it and even the spots that have slid over quarts chips while repelling or dragged across sharp corners have never gotten through the sheath. When this one is finally at the end of its life I will be immediately purchasing another. The only negative is the center mark has faded faster than I expected. If you are looking for a rope, Mammut is the only brand I will buy. No reason to look elsewhere they are the pinnacle.
Rope handles quite well. Have top roped with this a bunch.

I've been top-roping and lead climbing outdoors with this rope for a few months now and it doesn't show any signs of wear. It's durable and feeds well. The 60m rope is long enough for every location i've visited. MAMMUT did not disappoint!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girlfriend and I used this rope on a rappel at Copperhead Rock and it worked great. It’s easy to work and was great in our guide device. Awesome rope. Love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It feels smaller than it is because it is nice and flexible. It also is already uncoiled from the factory, so you don't have to do it yourself.

Handles well and feeds nicely through my grigri, very solid rope. Will definitely buy another when this one needs to be retired.

Just got back from a week long climbing trip in the desert. I used the 9.9 Crag Workhorse every day and it still looks brand new! Would absolutely get another one in the future.

Highly recommend the 9.9 workhorse. The 70m makes it versatile, definitely my go to for sport climb burns.
