Comfortable, very light weight, nice adjustments, kept my head safe from falling rocks at the crag. Yay

I love how light weight this helmet is. Great for taking backpacking when there are some sketchier climbs or hikes that may require a helmet (some class 3 and 4s)

Fits me perfect, and is nice and light. I do question the importance of MIPs on a climbing helmet but better is better for head protection

Very good, very light and breathable. Not the most comfortable with a ponytail - I need to do either a low bun or braids to get it to sit right where it should.

This is the first helmet that I’ve really felt comfortable wearing all day. It stays in place and doesn’t slip when I look up. The straps are nicely adjustable both at the chin and for around the head. I typically wear my hair in a ponytail while climbing and this helmet is compatible with a variety of placements, I just can’t do a super high ponytail. It’s also comfy with Dutch braids. My original helmet lasted almost 5 years before taking a solid chunk of rock and earning retirement. Got the same helmet to replace it right away.

Overall, I really like this helmet. First of all, I only considered MIPS helmets due to previous personal injuries. In the climbing industry, so far, there's only a few of them as I write this: this one, Smith, and two Black Diamond ones. The Black Diamond Capitan was too heavy for me, and the other Black Diamond was a contender, but in the end, the sizing was off, and even the largest size didn't fit my head well. This Wall Rider MIPS helmet is lightweight, comfortable, and so far, it has been durable. I've used it on 10+ trips over the course of a year, and it hasn't shown wear-and-tear, although the white top has gotten scratches (cosmetic) and is no longer pure white. The only downsides I would say are that the chin strap took me a while to dial down the sizing to where I wanted it (the strap barely covers my ears) and that the helmet sometimes covers part of my eyes if I look down too much, not staying in place. That is annoying when I'm climbing, and sometimes I have to readjust the helmet by pushing it backwards so that it doesn't cover part of my top eyesight.

I wore the cheapest BD helmet for years before finally choosing to upgrade. I have pretty slick hair, so I needed a helmet to stay in place. The strap system in this helmet does just that. The lightweight foam body made wearing this very comfortable on long days. I can also attest after whipping upside down that my noggin is safe and was cushioned well.

Great helmet. Super lightweight and comfortable on the head. The chin strap is a little small for people with large heads, but still works great.

Super light and comfortable helmet, love that it has MIPS as well.

This is a great helmet for climbing. It is light weight and easy to use. Mammut has great products and always great quality.

Overall super lightweight and works great for my go pro. The only thing is my ears sometimes run on the straps even after adjusting.

Light weight and comfortable, very suitable for long days scrambling and climbing. Easy to adjust the size of the helmet and inset extra padding should required.

I love the look and the weight. The strap system is a little weird though. Maybe it's my head shape and ear position but my ears barely make it into the opening, meaning the clips that go under my ears rub against my lobes at times. My sizing is right in the middle of the small size range, so I would expect there to be extra space for larger heads in this range, I feel like I've already maxed out the size range. I've only worn the helmet 2 times at the crag, but I'll keep using it and see how annoying that gets.

This is a great all around helmet, I've used it on long alpine days as well as crag days and it is great in either use case. I really like the extra security of the MIPS system and the hardshell design.

Love this helmet - I bought it as a light ski mountaineering helmet, but I've also used it as my main climbing helmet due to great overhead protection. The only downside I read about with this helmet was the headlamp straps being finicky, but they're not too bad. Besides, it's not often you have to attach and detach your headlamp in a day anyway!
