Great wire net, work and catch crab better then the metal cage. I had to returned the metal cage, and in exchange for 2 more of these nets.

Worth The Upgrade Over Cotton Netted Ring Traps.

Well worth the few extra dollars compared to the cotton netting version. They don't tangle up like the cotton version. Only gripe I have is, I wish the putter ring was a little more durable. If you're crabbing in a rocky or jagged bottom, the ring can get caught on it causing it to bend and deform. You can bend them to reshape, but they won't be a perfect circle.

Better Than Cotton Nets

These nets don't tangle on themselves or the crabs the way a cotton net does. They also feel sturdier and I expect they will last longer than cotton nets.

This Brand Is Cheaply Made

I ordered five of them thinking they were made the same as other double ring crab traps but unfortunately no.. I had to re-line the trap and put weights on them. Also some of the traps were not made right. Who ever made them didn't line up the wire right. So when I lay them on top of another trap they stuck together. This was my first time ordering this brand of ring trap and it will be my last.

Great Investment

I bought 16 right off the jump when they were buy one get one 50% off and the first day I caught 40 crabs ranging from 4.5 inches to 6 inches point to point ... I crab atleast 3 to 4 times a week ... they held up well so far ... i replaced all the metal hooks and kept up maintenance on the line and pots ... Ive only lost one because I didnt keep up with the wear and tear.

Meh, Stick To String-bate

Anecdotally, I had better luck with chicken necks tied to string. In one spot, I could see the crabs crawl on the metal rings and they seemed to "know" they were on something abnormal. Unless they were directly in the middle and you pulled the string really fast they could swim away very quickly up and out of the raised rings. Also, there were a few times the hook on the string got caught in the metal links. I had to bend the hooks closed to prevent this issue. I will try again and report back if this review lets' me edit.

What A Trap!

It was a great trap that was made well and we got a huge crab within minutes and many more after

Works great, tie your pull string around the metal hook and then bend/close the hook so the string don’t slip off and we got 3 crabs in 10 minutes. Going back to buy 15 more of these nets so I can have a feast.
