Sand Spike

Bought this for surf fishing off the beach. Well made, sturdy, can push it into the sand easily. Holds rod firmly, stays in sand when fish hits bait and runs. So far, 4ft Shark largest I caught with this sand spike. No issues

Just What I Wanted

Well made and as in other reviews the plastic top will come off I secured with duct tape.

The Best Rod Holder

I absolutely recommend specially because its very heavy duty

No Great, Ruined Mea Pole

Bought a new pole and this holder. The bottom handle(foam,cushion) on the rod has pieces missing now from taking the pole out of the holder. The inner sides of the holder is sharp.

Aluminum Sand Spike

This is a very stout sand spike. A little long but easy to cut down. Way better than plastic version considering the sharks break those.

Does The Job Well

This spike is great for bait fishing in the surf, as well as bait fishing in rocky areas. I wish it had a bait holder or pedals to drive the spike into the surface much easier.

Durable And Affordable

Durable rod stand that does the job. The durability adds some weight but overall I am very pleased.

Quality Materials For Overall Build

For an item with the ever familiar "made in china" statement on the label I'm quite surprised how they are built. These stakes have surprisingly decent materials with better than expected thickness of the stake section. I mean....If the end of the world happened with Zombies roaming around you sure can clear out a herd pretty easy using these stakes. Maybe it's just another Mad Max day on the road......these will work. You get my point...(you see the pun there?) While the tube welds could be a tad longer (average 2" or so) they are done quite well mating the tube to the stake. The slotted top cap to protect the reel is surprisingly thick and I hope they last the days at the beach. I wanted something made in the U.S.A. as that's how I want to roll, it was sure hard to pass these up after seeing them in person. SO if you are one who doesn't like to visit a store, buy them. If you like to read reviews first, then go to the store....go to the store and see for yourself. Maybe I got a good batch? Considering I got these for like $20 each I'll be rockin' these on the beach this summer.

Good solid fishing spike but the plastic park on the top came off. It is glued to the aluminum and easily comes off
