Cost Effective

Cost effective way to use variable dumbbells. Hard to get clips on and off. Weights are full of sand so not as durable as metal. But overall economical way to purchase weights

This Product Has Great Features

I needed weights that I could adjust. these are perfect!!

Dumbells

The only problem with this set of dumbbells is the spring clamp. Much too hard to get on the bar. Could also use 4 5lb discs.. Once together, they are good. Easy to grip. Vinyl covering is a nice touch. Nice for the price.

Not Good

Very unhappy with this product. The collars are almost impossible to engage and once engaged the don't quite get flush with the weights. Therefore, the weights are unstable. I plan to return this weekend.

Not Impressed At All

the weights move while using them..the clip to hold them/pull weights out is not easy to clip on or off..its a challenge to take off and put weights on.. I would rather pay the additional $$$

Confusing Description

When I bought these I thought each barbell would go up to 40 lbs, however that is not the case, it's 40 lbs total, so 20 lb per barbell, which was very disappointing. Now I have to figure out if I can purchase more weights for them or I may just have to buy another set to get up to 40 lbs.If you need to only go up to 20 lbs each then they're great, but make sure you know how much weight you need.

40 Lbs. Of Weight!

Most dumbbells' weight sets include curl bars as part of the total poundage, but this vinyl weight set is fully 40 lbs of weights, which means to add the weights to your leg developer, straight bar, etc., you can count on 40 total pounds. The compact bar is really nice because you don't have extra bar that's unnecessarily sticking out and for storage as well. The spring clip collars are easy to use. For a starter set of weights for a teenager---this is a durable beginners set and can nicely accommodate the seasoned weightlifter as well.

Solid Product

This product is exactly what the description said it was and, by that standard, it's great. It makes adjustable weights affordable and easy. However, it's a tad awkward to use them as a set 10lb dumbbells. Given that there are 4 2.5lb weights and 4 7.5lb weights, it makes certain combinations really well:2.5---2.5 (x2) = 5lb dumbbells2.5---7.5 (x2) = {lopsided} 10lb dumbbells7.5---7.5 (x2) = 15lb dumbbells2.5+7.5---7.5+2.5 (x2) = 20 lb dumbbells
