Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Rack I needed a reasonably priced, compact rack for my vintage York Round Head dumbbells. After checking several designs I chose the Apex Deluxe 3. My dumbbells range from 5 to 60 pounds. Not all 12 pairs fit on this compact rack at first, Solution: I purchased two 36" pieces of angle iron from a local hardware store and added a fourth shelf on the rear base of the rack, The smaller four pairs 5-20's fit perfect..This rack is very sturdy even with a total of 760 pounds of dumbbellsThe height and angle of the shelves make using this rack a joy.Warning:. The rack is not rated to hold this poundage but it has for the past two years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than average, but should be a bit wider Looks like I'm not the only person that has found that you can put the tinier weights x3 across the top rack, but if you want to put heavier weights on the bench, you can only get two pairs of weights per row (the middle one held 2 pair + 1, but that's annoying to pick up).I guess I'll have to buy a second one so that it can hold the weights that I currently have, and possibly a third one when I get to heavier stuff. Again, maybe just me but I would think that the engineers could have made understanding that if you're advertising something that holds this many dumbbells (three racks worth) that people are going to have from 10's to 50's or upwards - and as soon as you get into the 25's+ you can no longer do 3 pairs per row.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome strength, durability, spacesaver I bought this for my York hex dumbbell set that I purchased at another vendor site - the set of db I purchased run in pairs from 2.5lb - 50lb. All the weights fit except for the ones running 40lb on up and providing I set the 2.5, 5, 8s on top of the 10s, 12s, 15s in the same row. I like that it's very sturdy, has the right opening to rest the dbs easy in/out access. Don't like that it's not quite wide enough to hold them all -- but that's my bad bc the description was zilch on that info if I didn't doublestack the smaller weights on top of the others, it would be designed to hold up to 25 lbs complete set (5-25lb) hex rubber dbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rack for the money Shipment came relatively quickly. It was easy to assemble and seems very sturdy. Finish was chipped off in some places, but that is going to happen over time anyway. The only deficiency in this item was that no weight limit was stated either per shelf or total. My guess is they eliminate liability that way. However, I think this can easily take the weight of a reasonable set of dumbbells. Currently have a pair of each the following weights: 5, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30 and still have room for a pair of both 35's and 40's before this rack is full. As I expand my set of dumbbells, I plan to buy a second one of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I had seven pairs of dumbbells ranging from 10 to 35 pounds setting around my room. For years I've been wanting to get a rack to organize dumbbells. I finally decided to get a rack for them and started checking out all the sporting good places in the city and on Amazon. When I checked Dick's sporting good's I found this particular rack and thought it looked pretty good so I ordered it. It's built well and it's tiered so you can access the dumbbells easily and it's easy to put together. You can't go wrong with this rack. I wish I would have bought this 10 years ago. This rack will last forever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and reliable Solid construction and easy to assemble. Works fine. As previous reviews note, you lose a little space with the larger Dumbbells. I have pair of 50s and pair of 40s on bottom rack with room to fit only one other, not a pair. A little wider and it holds another pair. Other than that it works perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product was damaged when received. When I received the product in the mail, it appeared that it was hit with a metal hammer. The product was wrapped up tightly with bubble wrap so it appeared it was shipped damaged. The damaged consisted of a quarter sized dent in the primary beam. At the damaged area, the paint was chipped off. There was no paint chips in the box which further proves my theory that it was packaged damaged. The information within the box states not to return to store but to call a 1800 number for assistance. I called the number several times and each time got stuck in a crazy phone loop, put on hold, and then hung up on.If you want a damaged product with no support to resolve the situation, this product is for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price It does what it was made for, hold the dumbbell only thing is that if you are planing on having up to 100lbs of dumbbell you are going to need 2 or 3 racks.
