Awesome Home Smith Machine & More

We have had the SM4903 for about three weeks, and it is changed our lives for the better! I am pleasantly surprised with how much functionality you get out of this one machine - there is nothing you cant do on it with the right attachments. Setup was about as long as other people report: ~7 hours overall. Not bad or hard, just lots of little parts to put together in the right order. For the cables, make sure you have lots of smaller, evenly matched plates for smooth function. We are two fairly large guys and we have no trouble using all aspects of this cage. Five stars!

Buyer Beware ! Do Not Buy !

DO NOT BUY !!! Do your research and google IMPEX (who makes Marcy). Please read their reviews. This is a corrupt company who I have no idea how they are allowed to still conduct business as numerous people have reported them to BBB. They knowingly send products out without necessary parts and make customers wait for months if ever sent out for parts. They have been doing this for years !!!! SHAME ON DICKS FOR SELLING THIS COMPANY’S PRODUCT!!!! CORRUPT CORRUPT CORRUPT !!!!

Packing was good. parts were in good order. clean and very nice finish. Only 1 washer short, which I had extra in my parts bins. It is not commercial use heavy iron, but good for a home gym. Would be nice to have English words with the pictures in the assembly manual. Would also be nice to know what size of socket and allen wrench to use on the bolt assemblies. Assembly would have been terrible if we used a cresent wrench. On the back top brace where the bolt to secure the pully is screwed into the brace, it would have been very helpful if the instructions had us assemble those 2 pullies and prior to tightening up any bolts. The brace, pully and bold did not line up good enough to start the pully bolt and we had to take a bunch of other bolts loose to get them to properly line up. It is also very helpful to have 2 people assemble as the back and front top braces are difficult to do with one person. It would also be nice if all of the pullies had a metal bushing in the middle. Would be nice to have a bottle of lube included for the moving/sliding parts. Overall, very satisfied with the cage. Pully systems are smooth. Bench is very nice and easy to move around.

Decent Machine Not The Best Not The Worst

Overall it's a decent system but it does have some flaws. Not a fan of all the plastic where you actually slide the weights on and off the equipment one has already split in two on me. Also the front cables will easily jump off the pulleys and strip the coating off the cable. The bench that comes with it is okay if you're a smaller person but I'm 6 ft 3 the benches too small and unstable for me. The sliders on the pulley system where you add the weights don't have any type of rollers or bearings to help it glide up and down on the track so you get some spots that catch and don't catch it works but it could definitely be smoother.

This piece of machinery is amazing, I have yet to go to the gym after I got this. Works great and has pretty much everything you need besides leg attachments but can do squat and deadlifts so its not a necessary thing. Overall this Cage is amazing and very sturdy. Definitely have recommended it plenty of times.

Great Machine

Everything on the machine is great just wish it had a foot rest to do rows , and the biggest thing the holes for the Olympic bar need to go up higher , I am 6 ft (not a giant ) when I try and squat or do incline bench it is too short . Besides that cables are nice and smooth , better buy extra weight they are independent cables .

This is an awesome piece of equipment there is so much you can do squats, pull ups, cable crossovers, bench press, dead lifts.....etc and so much more I strongly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to buy a Smith machine. For the house this product is affordable and is also a great size.

Perfect Home Gym Set Up

I have had this home gym set up for a month and I LOVE IT! The variety of exercises I am able to do at home now is endless. I am 5 foot 3 inches and the squat rack is perfect for me. The only thing that we didn't realize before was how short the squat rack is. My husband is 6 feet 2 inches and it isnt ideal for him to squat with, but we make it work. The Smith machine goes higher. Still love it and I am so happy to have this apart of my gym. Putting it together went well.

This equipment is awesome. It was dropped off from a freight truck. They had call a week in advance to set up a drop off date that would best work for me. I lugged every piece in one at a time from the boxes. There were 4 boxes. The instructions were really easy to follow and all the hardware was already sorted to the steps required. It did take probably 6 hours to put it together while moving slow and taking my time. Nothing was missing and nothing was damaged. the packaging was very well put together. I am able to do everything I need with this equipment. I have spent many days, weeks, and hours researching different smith machines. I am very happy I went with this one. It was great piece of equipment for the price. I suggest just taking your time putting it together. I also used an 3/8 electric impact that helped a lot.
