Happy Pappy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An amazing tent with amazing airflow, so not a cold temp tent. Zippers that satisfied this camper with kids.... This tent is built so well, set up and break down was so easy with at least two people. Fit a family of 4 perfectly. Quality that will last for years.

Spacious But Dry Weather Only?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had the tent for 2 years. 2 times now ive ised this in moderate rain and water has seeped in. Warranty request sent in but havent heard back yet... Upon inspection the taped seams have failed. Nice and spacious but the zips get stuck often. Could use more venting for hot weather.

Limestone 6p - Ideal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tent a few months back and I have already used it 4 times. It has all the space that my small family of 3 needs. I have fully committed myself to spending as much time outdoors as humanely possible and this beautifully crafted shelter is just what the doctor ordered. I’m 6’2” and I can easily stand fully up inside. The ventilation is perfect but as always a fan is absolutely necessary to circulate the air. The Set-Up and Take Down could not be more simple. Each process takes no more than 10 minutes. We love the dual entrances and the zippers are smooth as butter. If I had one suggestion it would be to add a covered Porch vestibule to the main entrance. I try to prop up the rain flap with my hiking poles they do not always stay put. Other than that this tent is absolutely wonderful. When is the 10P due to hit the market? I would scoop that up in no time if it ever did.

Great Quality Easy Set Up

Used my six person tent for the first time this weekend. Overall loved it. I have camped. all my life and I have no complaints with this tent. I was nicely surprised how easily the poles went in and the tent popped right up. I tried to cut corners and hook the poles before I pushed it up, which did not work. It is best to follow the directions. Lol. The footprint is a great plus. Better and easier than most other footprints in my opinion. Easy setup with one. Real easy setup with two. Nice bag. Quality poles with bells and whistles. I expect this tent to last a long time. Woo hoo!

Great Tent, Again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tent to replace my 4-5 year-old almost perfect Halo 6p. I’d thought it was indestructible, but it didn’t stand up to a flying chair from a neighboring site during a thunderstorm. Although the Limestone has slightly less floor area, it feels larger since the walls are more vertical than the Halo’s. I’m 6’3” and can walk around upright in more than half the tent. Both vestibules are smaller than the Halo’s, but I’d never really needed/used the enormous front vestibule of the Halo. The Limestone’s vestibule held my chair with no problem and will hold my bike with no problem on the next trip. Just did a 3-day trip in rain and 35+mph gusts and the Limestone appeared to be every bit as sturdy as the Halo. Added benefits: it’s lighter, packs smaller, and is slightly easier to set up since it’s got one fewer pole and the rain fly is smaller and easier to handle. Although I do appreciate the increased privacy from the non-mesh white front door, I almost wish it had see-through mesh and a zippered privacy screen like the Halo. We’ll see how that affects summer ventilation. For this winter trip, ventilation was great - no condensation at all on those 35 degree nights. Bottom line is that Marmot knocked it out of the park again.

Keeps Us Dry And Comfortable!

We've had our Limestone 6p for about 8 camping seasons in the PNW. I got it after constantly getting wet in our other tents and so that my tall husband could stand up comfortably and move around. It felt like $$$ at the time but it has been amazing which is why I'm here to write this review. I love the extra dry front and back porch areas for shoes and things we want to protect. Nice large doors for coming and going, lots of pockets inside and a hook to hang a light. So quick and easy to put up. We're always careful to store dry and clean. For the first time this year, it had one tiny drip coming through the rainfly where the seam tape was peeling up. (I've submitted my first warranty claim so we'll see how that process works.) Admittedly, most of our camping is in forested areas but I can see how the lightweight poles might not hold up as well in a place with high winds. 100% would buy this tent again.

Quick Setup

I purchased our tent Christmas 2015 and started camping with it in 2016. We have camped in her 20-48 days per year from as early as April to the beginning of November. Most of our tent’s time was spent in the Canadian Rockies in a variety of weather. She has experienced Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories and North and South Dakota. She has kept us dry, cool, warm and cozy all these years. Both tent zippers to the front and back have been replaced. The fly has numerous patches. This year 2 sections of both poles were bent during a strong wind while trying to set her up in Grasslands National Park in Saskatchewan. Unfortunately they cannot be straightened. The fly is very thin from exposure to various types of weather. I chose the Limestone tent as it’s tall enough to stand up in, otherwise my husband wouldn’t have agreed to camp in a tent. It’s also very easy to assemble, take down and store in provided bag. The main tent is still in great shape. My husband is 81 and his memory is starting to fail. He wants to continue to camp as long as he is able, therefore, having the same tent would be beneficial as with a little reminding, he can still assist in tent assembly and take down. She will last a couple of more trips this year then I’ll be searching for a replacement.

Not That Great

We've had problems with bent and broken poles and the carry bag ripping within the first year of use. The quality isn't what you'd expect.

Durable Tent - Great Warranty

After doing significant research on multi person tents, I decided on a Marmot Limestone 6 person tent. That was back in 2012. We have been camping in the tent every season except two. We have taken exceptional care of this tent (never putting it away damp, keeping it away from campfires, and storing it in a suitable tent tote) and in turn, this tent has kept up warm, dry and given us many memories of mother/daughter camping. One summer we were camping in WI and were hunkered down during a severe thunderstorm. As loud as it was with the rain AND hail pounding on the rain fly, we were safe and dry in our Marmot Limestone tent. We actually had a small stream running under the tent, but not a drop inside! The gear pockets are great and it sleeps three people quite comfortably on twin air beds and our gear. The entryway are a bonus for keeping your gear dry from the night dew and there is plenty of head room for standing up and changing clothes. We did have warranty work done this year and service was fast helpful! We absolutely love our Marmot!

Nice Tent Bad Poles Very Bright Inside

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tent is extra roomy and looks robust. However after all night strong side winds poles bended likes the trees facing north but without having broken . The tent is used only during summer season since it's very well ventilated. It hasn't face rain yet.The biggest disadvantage is sure the sunlight that comes unhindered inside at kiwi coloured tent. Unfortunately it was the only colour available in Greece.Just before the purchase rapidly passed my mind both the brightness of the mesh and flysheet but having no other option I bought it. Unfortunately neither the white mesh makes it to improve the privacy in addition you must be prepared to wake up early especially when summer. I am 174 cm and find difficulty to install the flysheet without a small help from my wife. All the previous settings can be done very very fast and incredibly easy

Marmot Limestone 6p

I bought my limestone about a year ago and have been out in it about 7 times now primitive camping and I love it. It is an easy set up and on two of my trips I had some severe storms come in, the one alone had about 40mph winds with it and the tent shook some but it weathered the storm( no pun intended). Very easy to do a one person set up with and I really enjoy the space and head room.

Nice Tent But Bad Poles

On my third gentle use I had three poles break. Unfortunately, They did not have replacement poles and has been a challenge to find replacement poles. On the plus side they did send me a check for the replacement value.

Great Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tent is very spacious, perfect for a couple and dog. It fits a double air mattress with lots of room to spare. It has lots of mesh and good air flow, great for summer camping. I would recommend if you are looking for a quality constructed tent that is easily to put up.

Good Tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very spacious, great high ‘roof’, let a little water in during a consistent rain on its first use, rainfly is not easy to get in/out of.
