[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these lightweight, waterproof Gore‑Tex Minimalist pants. They're perfect for backpacking and long‑distance thru‑hiking, keeping the pack weight down and providing a great weatherproof shell when it gets nasty. The articulated knees and overall construction of the pants are great. I do wish they had added belt loops, so if you lose weight or the elastic wears out, they help keep the pants up. Otherwise, these are a great addition to the pack.

These are nice rain pants, they fit well over hiking pants while not being overly baggy. A little hard to put on over my boots, I wish the zippers extended up another 4-6 inches to aid with this. I tried the Precip full-zip pants and I like that feature but these pants are, overall, much nicer. I’m 6’2” and 265, they are XXL

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Gore-Tex pants fit the bill. They are lightweight, have a great fit, pack small, and allow for a base layer beneath if needed. Ice, snow, Zodiak rides, kayaking, these pants can take it all and keep you dry all the while. Would definitely buy again and recommend to others.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material is pretty great, been in a down poor and legs stayed dry, even taking knees in the wet mud and grass. The problem is the fit and function. The fit is that of a skinny pant. So if you are trying to put them on over boots or shoes, forget about it. The leg zip is for show only, not function. The waist is pretty small too, to fit over another layer of clothes, pants or shorts, it'll be tight. Ordered size Large. I'm 5'9", 190lbs, athletic, and wear large is pretty much everything.

No belts, not even the small loops for belts. Who ever come up with this design should be fired. Extremely impractical.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pants won't stay up. No suspenders, belt, belt loops or draw string.

Product is great. What is not great is having to pay full price on an exchange/return that was purchased on sale originally. Do better with simple exchanges and inventory.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A decent rain pant. After about 3 hours of continuous steady rain the pant does seem to give into to the saturation and ya do start to get damp - but similar to most rain gear I suspect

nice materials, quality construction, impractical...I have not had these pants for very long, therefore I cannot speak to their durablility or use in various rain conditions. Initially, these pants seem to be made from quality materials and the construction is very good. They have kept the water our so far. These pants, however, are very slim and fitted. You cannot slip them on or off while wearing boots. If you want to slip them on - you have to take your boots off. If you want to slip them off, you have to take your boots off. This makes them highly impractical for various types of rainy days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked great in Patagonia. Does run a little small. I am a 34 waist and the large was snug but the XL was too big. I still recommend buying just be sure they will fit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pants that seem to be very well made. Unfortunately, the small fits my waist perfectly, but my hips are way too tight. The medium fits perfectly everywhere except in the waist. A simple drawstring would have made these pants a 5 star product. Without a drawstring, these pants became useless and had to be returned.

Not sure how to use them? Are pants suppose to go under them? if so shorts or really supper thin ultra light hiking pants. Not as generous as the picture. I understand there "minimalist" meant for backpacking but would of like to have a bit more leg room and perhaps a wider hip so you can put them over pants . The mens Med jacket has room but the pants fall short 0r should i say tight .Use then for all four season.Hopeful they will work for winter sports with just a basis layer under neath .
