Great For Car Camping

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up, easy to use, roomy, and snug against the weather. What more do you need in a tent?

Very Light And Compact

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We wanted a smaller, lightweight tent and tried this one after seeing positive reviews. We took it camping recently and were very happy with it. We went with just two of us, and it was very roomy. We intend on using it for 3 people next time. It's easy to set up and pack up. It's very light and compact.

Tungsten 3-person Tent - Loving It!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an AARP card carrying Northwoods outdoor woman, I find the Tungsten 3-person Tent to meet my requirements for low weight, high water/wind resistancy, high ease of set-up/breakdown, high spaciousness for size, and high marks for dual doors with silent/flexible zippers.. Even when I camp from my Scamp, due to its ease and portability, I set up my Marmot Tungsten Tent to indulge in a few nights sleeping under the stars. Additionally, the Marmot quality lifetime guarantee is a plus.

Easy Setup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this tent! Setup was a breeze—even solo—and it held up perfectly during a chilly night in the woods. Super cozy, durable, and exactly what I needed for a peaceful outdoor escape. Highly recommend for any camping adventure!

Great Tent !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the nicest tent I've ever owned . I loved everything about it . Unfortunately it was stolen, from my camp near Zion National Park, along with my sleeping bags and mats. I guess I was only meant to own cheap tents that are more disposable.

Good Tent On First Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good. I've used it once. I didn't really test its water resistance. We had a lot of rain on the days I was out, but I put a tarp over it. So it didn't leak, but again, I didn't really want to find out how waterproof it is. Otherwise, it's pretty easy to put together. I would say as a 6'4" man that it is not a 3-person tent. It's more like a 2 person tent. I really feel like the number of people that these tents are rated as are over-estimated.

Roomy And Easy To Assemble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got back from first camping/portaging trip with this tent. Felt great for two humans and a dog, plenty of room to move around, and having two entrances is a game changer. Would def recommend.

Just What I Needed

This tent was exactly what I needed for a quick trip!

Lesser Quality Than Older Tungsten Version

My first tungsten 3p tent was purchased approximately 10 years ago and has been very well used (and well taken care of). I decided to purchase a new Tungsten tent because I just couldn't get the water to bead away after waterproofing many times over the years (Kiwi Camp Dry and Wood's silicone waterproof spray). Also, the velcro tabs kept coming off even though I I glued them back on... and the tent clips (that attach to the poles) were starting to tear away from the screening. Anyway, it had served me very well and I accepted that these are the things that slowly start to break down after many years of use. In setting up my new Tungsten tent, I instantly noticed the quality of materials did not match up to my old version of this tent. Material is finer (feels thinner), all of the strapping and buckles are smaller and there is just an overall feeling of cheapness to the tent. I've only been on a 5 day trip so far and it kept me dry. And I do appreciate the improvement with moving from plastic to aluminum for the piece that ties the main poles together. I expect it will serve it's purpose but just disappointed in the loss of quality in materials. I also suspect that it will not last as long as my old version. One last gripe, there are 8 points of tie down on the tent itself plus 4 more to secure the fly in high winds, for a total of 12 tent pegs required, so why does the tent only come with 6 pegs. I weighed the tent and fly and there is only a 5 gram difference between the old and new, so cutting quality on the materials wasn't to reduce weight. Very disappointed, I used to rave about this tent to everyone I knew but will no longer be recommending it unless the quality in materials is improved upon.

Great First Group Backpacking Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tungsten 3P tent held up in light rain and heavy wind on a backpacking trip along the west coast. Haven't tried it in heavy rain yet but so far, no condensation drips into the tent so that's a good sign. Also it packs down pretty light. Would recommend purchasing 4 additional stakes since this tent comes with 4 guy lines and no stakes for them.

Not Sure Yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few weeks ago and have been busy with work. The box it came in stood out to my eyes, I knew it was my new tent! Excitement ensued and I have been waiting for a time to set it up for the first time! I hang Christmas lights this time of year so I haven’t had any extra time to even unbox the tent…in an ideal world I’d take it to the woods this weekend, alas, it will have to wait.

Incredible Tent For Weathering Intense Storms!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were just camping in the Swiss Alps at a festival and we had the most insane storms roll through with lightening/thunder and torrential downpours. It was so much rain that a massive landslide happened after this storm. This tent was in 4-5 inches of water for an hour or so until we could move it to higher ground with a break in the storm. We were were amazed and so thankful that all of our gear was dry. We ended up getting another intense storm roll in a couple hours later with rain and wind so intense it destroyed some of the other festival goers tents and canopy's. This second storm hit later at night and our only option was to ride it out in the tent. We were sitting on our air mattresses and could push on the bottom of the tent and feel several inches of water below it. We were definitely scared we would wake up the next morning in water with everything wet but this tent was amazing! When we woke up the next morning it was damp under both of our sleeping mats but everything else stayed dry. Incredible! The wind and rain was truly intense. I'd never experienced that level of storm in a tent before. I was sure either the tent would collapse or it would get blown away. I'm truly impressed with this tent! It is the first Marmot I have owned and I highly recommend!
